Second, the number of references cited.
Note that the references cited must be few and precise, and those that are dispensable and of low academic value should be deleted. At present, the number of references cited by some medical journals in China is obviously limited, with no more than 10 for works and no more than 25-30 for reviews. However, some people argue that as long as the above requirements are met, the necessary documents can still be cited and should not be rigidly restricted. The number of references for general academic articles should be 20-40, and the number of references for summary articles is generally more than that for research articles.
Thirdly, the citation format in the text of references.
The citation format of the references in this paper varies according to the requirements of the school, but no matter how many references are cited, they will be listed in the list of references (sequential coding system) at the end of the paper. If there is only one reference, the serial number is written as 1. The authors in the references are written by first name and surname, with three or less listed, and more than three listed in the top three. Reference numbers are arranged in the order in which they first appear in the text, and they are all represented by Arabic numerals and square brackets with corner codes, and are arranged at the end of the text in the order of citation. Please check the accuracy of the literature with the original text.
Four, when multiple files are cited at the same time, the files are listed in the text and after the text in chronological order.
When the method of name and year is cited in the text, several documents are arranged in chronological order in the text, and then arranged alphabetically after the text. When the reference number is used in the text, the documents are listed in numerical order in the text and after the text. What happens if the references are not written in order? You can't pass the inspection and review. The graduation thesis of general subjects has corresponding requirements. If not, they can be marked out of the order in which they appear. Generally speaking, this situation exists in small papers. As a master's thesis, it is best to mark it in the order of appearance, which is convenient for inspection and review. There are strict regulations on the recording format and marking of references. Therefore, if the references are in the wrong order, your paper will be unusual and your score will be lowered.
Five, the literature can be placed in the text in a variety of ways, but it must be specific and meaningful.
Generally speaking, according to the content to be emphasized, the document can appear after the quoted content or after the author's name. For example:
1) starfish fertilization is species-specific (17).
2.Peterson (17) reported that starfish fertilization has species specificity.
Six, different journals may have different citation rules due to different styles.
For example, the target journal is in APA format, and "etc." is only used for articles with six or more authors. So be sure to carefully check the author's explanation and the papers published in the target journals.
Finally, I would like to remind you that in fact, when checking the repetition of the paper, the citation part of the paper also needs to be checked. If the citation format is wrong, it may be recorded as plagiarism. Moreover, there must be a certain limit when quoting, otherwise it will still be considered plagiarism if it exceeds the limit of the duplicate checking system. Once this happens to your own paper, a large area of red content will appear in the report of duplicate checking results, which is likely to lead to the failure of duplicate checking of your own paper.
