Invent the equipment and technology of micro-bubble column separation, and form the micro-column separation technology with China characteristics. Breaking the traditional concept of "static" mineralization of flotation column, creatively putting turbulent mineralization modes such as cyclone mineralization and pipe flow mineralization into flotation column, forming an orderly integration of three mineralization modes, namely countercurrent mineralization, cyclone mineralization and pipe flow mineralization, and forming a micro-column separation technology with China characteristics. More than 300 domestic enterprises have been exported to Vietnam and Indonesia, and have been granted invention patents and 7 utility model patents from the United States, Australia and China. It was rated as the top ten scientific and technological achievements of the first coal industry and the outstanding achievements of the national key scientific and technological research in the Ninth Five-Year Plan. Research on Cyclone-Static Micro-bubble Flotation Column and Preparation of Clean Coal was awarded as one hundred excellent doctoral dissertations in China, and the separation method and equipment of Cyclone-Static Micro-bubble Flotation Column won the second prize of national technological invention in 2002.
Develop coal desulfurization and deep ash reduction technology
The completion of the first ultra-clean coal preparation plant and waste slime utilization project in China has made important contributions to desulfurization and ash reduction of difficult coal preparation in China. As one of the technical leaders, we developed a deep desulfurization and ash reduction process for coal, and the removal rate of inorganic sulfur reached 80%, producing low-sulfur metallurgical clean coal. The project has created a leading position in domestic separation technology, key equipment and index level, and realized an important transformation of coal preparation technology. 1999 won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress (fourth place). Through the integration with activated carbon preparation process, China ultra-clean coal preparation production line ("863" project, national "double high and one excellent" project) was established. Presided over the development of waste coal slime treatment technology and established a 300,000-ton/year high-ash coal slime production line (national key technological innovation project).

In view of the difficulty in settling coal slurry in China, the idea of agglomerating coal slurry to make it easy to settle was put forward, and the method and technology of clarifying coal slurry by adding natural minerals were invented. This technology has solved the production problems caused by the difficult settling of slime water, such as "high mud content affects quality", "lime hardening", "permeable mine coal preparation" and "soft rock coal seam mining". It has been listed as a national key science and technology promotion project and used by more than 50 enterprises. An authorized invention patent, the first prize of technological invention in China universities.
Develop mineral column separation equipment and short process, and apply column separation technology to mineral separation. The idea of solving the separation problem of poor, fine and difficult minerals through process strengthening is put forward. Complete the Tenth Five-Year National Key Scientific and Technological Project of "Development of Large-scale Micro-bubble Column for Mining" and "Full-flow Column Separation Process", and establish a 65t/h iron-lifting and silicon-lowering column separation system, a 2,000t/d copper separation system and a 3,600t/d tungsten roughing two-stage separation system. The application of this technology in more than ten large mines in China.
Advocate the research of mineral processing technology and seek deep desulfurization and ash reduction of coal
Breakthrough has been made in the separation of poor impurities and refractory minerals. A cascade optimization separation method integrating multiple mineralization methods is proposed, and the strengthening methods such as swirl field and high turbulence are applied to coal desulfurization and ultra-pure preparation. The process design and coupling of separating refractory minerals are put forward. The research direction of micro-bubble column separation and clean coal technology, mineral processing design and mineral column separation is formed.
