Breeding technology and market prospect of scorpion
1, scorpion breeding prospect

Although scorpions are widely distributed in China, with the prosperity of the Chinese medicine market and the gradual development of the economic value of scorpions, the social demand for this traditional precious medicinal material is increasing day by day.

On the one hand, the number of natural population is sharply reduced due to man-made over-capture; on the other hand, due to the continuous destruction of ecological environment and the extensive use of pesticides and fertilizers, the natural living environment of scorpions is deteriorating and the food sources are decreasing, which leads to the intensification of the contradiction between social demand and output supply. Artificial breeding of scorpions meets people's needs and has high breeding prospects.

The medicinal value of scorpion is very high, and there are more than 100 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions made from scorpion. Especially in recent years, it has been found that scorpion is effective in treating difficult diseases, which makes the demand for scorpion increase sharply. In addition to medicine, scorpions can also be made into nourishing food.

2. Scorpion breeding technology

(1) variable temperature

Scorpions, like snakes and frogs, are cold-blooded animals. Their body temperature changes with the change of natural temperature, and their activity decreases with the rise and fall of temperature. At high temperature (30-38), it has the strongest activity, the largest food intake and the faster growth. Mating and calving are carried out in this range, and the food intake decreases below 25 degrees, and basically no food is eaten below 18 degrees. Therefore, in order to grow rapidly, scorpions need to maintain an environment above 28 degrees.

(2) Silence

Scorpions are low-level silent animals and will not express their wishes. They rely on people to observe their reproduction carefully.

(3) Eat live food

Scorpions like to eat small animals, such as Tenebrio molitor, Eupolyphaga Seu Steleophaga and earthworms. These animals also need to be farmed. Therefore, raising scorpions is not a simple breeding, and the above small animals can also be raised as scorpion feed.
