The love story between Xu Zhimo and Lin;

192 1 autumn, he met Lin, a talented woman. Xu Zhimo was very close to her and had the intention to talk about marriage. Therefore, Xu Zhimo filed for divorce with Zhang Youyi in March 1922, arguing that the two should not continue their married life without love and freedom.

Free divorce, no more pain and happiness, this is Xu Zhimo's simple idealism. He is pursuing an ideal life. To this end, he wrote many poems for Lin, such as Listening to the Qin on a Moonlit Night, Ode to Youth, and Dream of Spring in the Wind, which expressed his love and life ideals and constituted the important contents of his poems in this period.

Xu Zhimo especially misses his life in Cambridge, England. He was deeply moved by his love for Lin and wrote a lot of poems. His poetic scene is reflected in his long poem Dew on the Grass.

This is his earliest poem that we have seen so far. Life in Cambridge, England certainly attracted him. Later, after rational thinking, Lin returned home early with his father and left without saying goodbye to Zhimo.

The famous poem "Accidental" written by Xu Zhimo to Lin shows that Xu Zhimo's affection for Lin is the best, straightforward, love at first sight, and he goes his own way rationally, which is a kind of pure feeling that is difficult to understand in the secular world.

After that, they organized the activities of the Crescent Society, performed together, and often wrote to each other. 1924 During Tagore's visit to China, Xu Zhimo and Lin acted as translators, then Xu Zhimo accompanied Tagore to Japan, and Lin and Liang Sicheng went to the University of Pennsylvania. When Xu Zhimo and Lin met again, it was four years later.
