Liu, an associate professor at Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, has been engaged in Chinese medicine research for more than 20 years. He has served as the director of the teaching and research section of medicinal plants and traditional Chinese medicine identification and the director of the Chinese medicine specimen room of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University. He mainly teaches medicinal botany, identification of traditional Chinese medicine and commodity of traditional Chinese medicine, and has taught in the School of Professional Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong for many times. Published academic papers 13, and published books 14 (including 9 chief editors, 2 deputy chief editors and 3 teaching materials) such as Color Atlas of Common Chinese Herbal Medicines and Field Practice Manual of Medicinal Botany. Presided over and participated in a number of projects above the Ministry (provincial) level, and won the title of "Excellent Teacher of Teaching and Educating in South Guangdong" in Guangdong Province.
