I. Introduction

As Bloom said, a student who studies with positive emotions should learn easier and faster than those who lack emotions, fun and interest, or those who are anxious and afraid of learning. If English teachers ignore students' emotional attitudes and simply teach for the sake of teaching, they will arouse students' weariness of learning and fail to achieve the expected teaching effect.

Second, the relationship between emotional attitude and language learning

Emotion is people's attitude and experience about whether objective things meet personal needs, a special form reflected by objective things, and an attitude of people to people. Emotional attitude includes positive emotional attitude and negative emotional attitude. Research shows that positive emotional attitude can effectively promote the sublimation of human intelligence, make students energetic, flexible and agile, have rich imagination and enhance their memory. At the same time, stimulating students' learning motivation to the maximum extent is conducive to the development of students' language potential. On the contrary, negative emotional attitudes (lack of learning motivation, inattention, etc. ) affect the normal development of students' learning potential, thus reducing the effect of language learning and having a negative impact on students' future language learning.

Third, how to cultivate students' positive emotional attitude.

1. Establish an equal and democratic teacher-student relationship.

Communication and cooperation are the essence of the new teacher-student relationship. The new teacher-student relationship based on equality and democracy is the most daily and concrete expression in educational life. Equality means that teachers and students are in an equal position in personality. Students should respect teachers, but teachers should love students more. The most important thing of democracy is to have a relaxed and harmonious learning environment and atmosphere, in which students are encouraged to express their opinions and opinions boldly. It can be seen that this kind of cooperation and exchange is two-way interaction, mutual benefit and win-win, which fully embodies human nature, human feelings and charm. In the first few days of the new semester, the author will go to the students to find out their opinions on English classroom design, classroom rhythm, classroom language organization, exercise explanation and so on. From the process of talking with students, we can find a teaching method that can not only optimize English classroom teaching but also improve students' learning efficiency. In a word, the new teacher-student relationship based on equality and democracy, especially the sincere and warm emotional connection between teachers and students, is of great significance to changing students' learning style and promoting their all-round, harmonious and active development. Therefore, it can be said that a good teacher-student relationship is a productive force of education and teaching, which promotes the improvement of teaching quality.

2. Stimulate students' learning motivation and improve their interest in learning English.

Interest is a temporary tendency of people to try to recognize things and engage in activities, which is manifested in people's selective attitude and positive emotional response to something or an activity. Teaching for middle school students' interest in learning, its universal function is to enable students to engage in various learning practice activities with full enthusiasm, optimize the teaching effect, and thus improve students' learning efficiency. If students are interested in learning English, they will concentrate their attention in class, enthusiastically answer all kinds of questions raised by teachers in class, further discuss the doubts and difficulties in class with teachers after class, and find solutions in a pioneering way.

On the one hand, the cultivation of interest needs teachers' care for students, which is embodied as follows: when preparing lessons, students' interests and difficulties in the learning process should be fully considered to make it as simple as possible; When students have difficulties in learning, help them solve them in time, patiently and enthusiastically (through conversation or counseling) without sarcasm; When students put forward feasible solutions, they should actively guide and encourage them, don't discourage them from exploring problems, and finally give them constructive suggestions; After class, we can create an English corner, hold oral English contest, speech contest and English evening party to improve students' understanding of the usefulness of learning English well, generate motivation and improve students' consciousness and enthusiasm in learning English. On the other hand, teachers should be impassioned in class, carefully design classroom teaching content according to students' learning situation, and use multimedia teaching methods to assist English teaching and improve English teaching effect.

Fourth, advocate appreciation education to enhance students' self-confidence in learning.

The key to successful education is to make students succeed with confidence, and appreciation education is an effective way to enhance students' self-confidence. Some teachers think that appreciation education is only suitable for primary and junior high school students, not for senior high school students. Some surveys show that it is also suitable for senior high school students, because praise in education is an affirmation of students' good behavior. Through the teacher's praise, let students know their own advantages and strengths, further consolidate and develop their own advantages and strengths, and let students have a sense of accomplishment. At the same time, teachers should also grasp the degree of praise, praise should be appropriate, neither exaggerated nor reduced, so that students can establish "confidence that I will do better in the future."
