A paper on national border security
This is part of my previous paper on the situation around China in military theory. I hope it will help you in part!

Among the 200 countries in the world, China has the largest number of neighboring countries except Russian. China borders 14 countries, including North Korea, Russia, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. In addition, countries facing China across the sea from northeast to southwest are: South Korea, Japan, Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia.

The particularity of this geographical location and geographical environment will restrict the improvement of the security environment around China for a long time. First, the border is long and lacks natural security barriers, making it easy to be invaded by foreign enemies. Second, the number of strong neighbors is rare in the world, which puts great pressure on China's security. Third, some countries in many neighboring countries still have territorial disputes with me, which makes the security environment around me uncertain. Fourth, the coexistence of many hot spots has made China's security face threats and challenges to varying degrees. .

In recent years, some disturbing events have indeed occurred in the surrounding areas of our country. For example, India and Pakistan ignore international public opinion and oppose the development of nuclear weapons; The United States continues to pursue its military alliance policy in Asia; Separatism and international terrorism have brought serious challenges to some countries; Wait a minute.

Since ancient times, the South China Sea has been a part of our territory. China first discovered and named Nansha Islands, and exercised sovereignty over Nansha Islands for the first time and continuously. However, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines used military means to forcibly occupy or attempt to occupy some islands in the South China Sea for their own interests.

I think China should strengthen national economic construction, weak countries have no diplomacy, and the current international competition is economic and technological competition. It is also necessary to carry out geopolitical struggles reasonably, improve control over the South China Sea Islands, and actively prepare opportunities. In short, as an inseparable part of China's territory, the importance of the South China Sea in all aspects cannot be ignored at will, and it is imperative to safeguard and manage the sovereignty of the South China Sea.

The fresh nuclear issue refers to a series of regional security and diplomatic issues caused by North Korea's development of nuclear application capability, and the relevant parties are the United States, China, South Korea, Russian Federation and Japan. I believe that China should actively promote and participate in the establishment of various forms of multilateral negotiation mechanisms on the DPRK nuclear issue. Flexible use of diplomatic means to safeguard their own and world peace.

There are also issues such as the East China Sea and West Asia. It is not a perfect solution in a short time. From the numerous neighboring countries, unbalanced political, economic and cultural development and complicated geopolitical environment, we can see that the security situation around China is grim.

But there are still some good aspects. (1) Our domestic political stability and sustained economic development have laid a solid foundation for striving for a peaceful surrounding environment; (2) China has continuously developed good-neighborly and friendly relations with neighboring countries, further improving the overall strategic environment of China; (3) The territorial disputes between China and neighboring countries are being resolved or temporarily shelved, which is conducive to the improvement of China's security environment; (4) Most countries around me have intractable internal problems, which have eased the security pressure of China.
