Hypersonic vehicle refers to an aircraft with Mach number greater than 5 and powered by an air-breathing engine or its combined engine, which can fly long distances in and across the atmosphere. Its application forms include hypersonic cruise missiles, hypersonic manned/unmanned aircraft, aerospace aircraft and aerospace missiles. ?
As the joint of aviation and aerospace technology, hypersonic vehicle technology involves many disciplines, such as hypersonic aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, high temperature aerothermodynamic, chemical dynamics, navigation and control, electronic information, material structure, process manufacturing and so on. It is a highly integrated technology of hypersonic propulsion, airframe/propulsion integrated design, supersonic combustion, thermal protection, endothermic hydrocarbon fuel, hypersonic ground simulation and flight test. Hypersonic vehicle is the frontier technology in the field of aerospace, and it is also a hot field in which major aerospace countries compete to carry out research. In recent years, many domestic scientific research institutes, universities and other research institutions have also carried out extensive research on hypersonic vehicles and made great progress. In addition to considerable technical difficulties, hypersonic vehicles also have their own unique characteristics, such as the integrated design of fuselage and propulsion, and the high coupling of multiple disciplines. These characteristics make its research methods, means and technical approaches different from the traditional aircraft development process. ?
The purpose of writing this book is to make researchers engaged in hypersonic vehicle technology research have a comprehensive and macroscopic understanding of the technical system of hypersonic vehicle from the overall height and breadth of hypersonic vehicle and the development process of foreign technology, so that it is not limited to its own professional division of labor in scientific research, but also takes into account the inherent requirements of other disciplines and professions, so as to better grasp the key to the development of hypersonic vehicle technology. In view of the fact that there is no comprehensive book about hypersonic vehicle technology at home and abroad at present, another purpose of writing this book is to hope that this book can become an introductory reading for researchers engaged in hypersonic vehicle technology and become an atlas of hypersonic vehicle technology. Therefore, the definition of some basic concepts, the description of basic parameters and the introduction of basic methods related to key technologies are given in the corresponding chapters of this book. By reading this book, readers can master some basic knowledge, and then consult and read the corresponding references in detail. I believe that they can quickly enter the hall of hypersonic vehicle technology research. ?
This book is divided into two parts. The first part systematically introduces some key technologies of hypersonic vehicle, including scramjet technology, combined propulsion system technology, overall and integrated design technology, structure and thermal protection technology, navigation guidance and control technology, wind tunnel test technology and so on. Then the research history of hypersonic vehicle technology in the United States, Russia, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Britain, India and other countries is comprehensively summarized. The preparation of this book refers to a large number of domestic and foreign technical and academic documents, and marks them in the corresponding position in the book as much as possible. However, due to the large number of documents, the discipline and specialty span is great, so please understand the readers and original authors. In addition, due to the limitation of the author's professional field, it is difficult to digest and master the professional knowledge and research progress of subjects that are not in his own research field in a short time. In the process of writing, he consulted the domestic review literature of the corresponding disciplines and the research review part of doctoral and master's theses. The references with corresponding quotations are marked in this book and listed in the references in each chapter. ?
The compilation of this book has received the attention and strong support from many leading experts, such as Tao Ping, member of the Science and Technology Committee of the PLA General Armament Department, Zhao Tongkai, Director of the New Technology Bureau of the Electronic Information Foundation Department, Deputy Director Liu Zhiwei and Director Zhu Wenfeng, Wang Jue, researcher of the First Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group, Huang Ruisong, academician of the Third Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group, Wei Yiyin, Shi Xinxing, Tang Longsheng, Zhao Wensheng and Xie Haibo. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks here. Thanks to the help of experts from scientific research institutes and universities. Professor Xu Xu, Professor Sun Bing from the Department of Propulsion and Associate Professor Li Huifeng from the Department of Space Navigation, Guidance and Control, who have been engaged in the research of hypersonic vehicle technology for many years, have provided a lot of materials for the compilation of this book, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude. Academician Zhuang Fenggan, a famous aerodynamic expert, and Academician Liu Xingzhou, an aerodynamic missile power expert, have also been paying attention to the progress of this book, but it is a great pity that this book was not published before their death. ?
Due to the limited professional level of the author of this book, there are inevitably some shortcomings in the book. I would appreciate it if readers could criticize and advise me. Cai Xu's army
