So, how can we cultivate this spirit?
We should have the habit of "doubting". This requires our own judgment, because the choice of a suspect depends on our inspiration and judgment. More importantly, we should have the spirit of challenging authority, not afraid of authority and not blindly following it. 1640, the mathematician Fermat got a formula for finding prime numbers after searching, so he happily asserted: "For all natural numbers n, 2 (2 n)+ 1 are prime numbers." It turned out that his conclusion was wrong. It is precisely because of his lofty authority in the field of mathematics that no one doubted the correctness of this conclusion for a long time.
However, "doubt" and "truth-seeking" are unified, and the habit of "doubt" is not enough. We also need the habit of "seeking truth". The process of "seeking truth" is a planned and active exploration process. Only in this way can we find out the truth of the matter and our "suspicion" is truly meaningful.
It is because of some courage, wisdom and proper questioning that the history of human civilization has been continuously improved. I hope that a skeptical and realistic attitude can truly become a part of our study and life.
