From the whole modern banking industry, Ou Yu's research shows an imbalance. Objectively speaking, there are still some obvious shortcomings and extensions in the current Expo. At present, the achievements of Shanghai Bank in the study of banking history have always been the focus of scholars' attention. Of course, Meiyu is most influenced by the west of Shanghai. Shanghai is a foreign town that plays a decisive role in the field of banking finance in modern China, and its banking financial radiation is unmatched by other places, which has played a positive role in the economic, political and social development of modern China. The study of Shanghai banking will not only help us to understand the history of China banking in modern times, but also help us to get a glimpse of the economic development and social changes in modern China. However, at the end of modern banking research, this is far from enough. In modern China, it is a country with unbalanced development in different regions, and the development of the banking industry has its unique internal track and development characteristics. Cowen, a famous historian, studied the imbalance in the historical development of China (The Importance of Differentiation). He emphasized that "China newspapers and periodicals" should be horizontally "decomposed into regions, prefectures, counties, provinces and cities, and regional and local historical studies should be carried out". Only by strengthening the study of the history of occasional encounters can the rich and complicated modern history of China be revealed. This problem has attracted scholars' attention. In the doctoral thesis "1905-A Historical Study of Local Banks in Modern China" of Sichuan University, Xingcheng Bank and Sichuan meifeng Bank were taken as examples. Through the case study of the development and changes of banks in other areas of modern Sichuan, relevant papers appeared initially, such as Jiangxi Local Bank, Yunnan Local Bank and Guizhou Local Bank, etc. All of them were local banks, but the researchers were limited in space and could not tell them well. The author thinks that the study of banking history should be carried out not only in the longitudinal time and space of history, but also in the historical and spatial coordinates, with a regional perspective, and local banking research will help us to accurately locate the banking industry in modern China, so as to more accurately grasp the history and general laws of the development of banks in modern China.
