1. For the opening report, you can consult your tutor in advance or ask your senior sisters.
2. Personally, I think there are great differences between the two topics: the translation of import and export trade contracts (skills) and the translation of business English contracts. The former can be translated from Chinese to English, from English to Chinese, or from other languages, while the latter can be translated from English to Chinese, or from English to German, French or other languages. So the names of these two topics are too broad;
3. The expression "translation of business English contract" is still too big for the expression "business English contract". There are many types of business contracts, such as agency, service and sales, and the terms of different types of contracts are very different. I suggest you refer to a certain type of contract.
Finally, I suggest you choose a topic before drafting the outline, not too narrow or too wide. If it is too narrow, it is difficult to write tens of thousands of words/word; If it is too wide, you can't concentrate on writing the topic, and it is difficult to reply. In addition, when choosing a topic, you can take a look at China's contract law first, which can be used as a reference.
The above analysis is given by me in combination with my own course of writing a dissertation and my current experience in handling foreign-related legal affairs, for reference only. I hope you have a good start!
