There are two kinds of organochlorine pesticides: one is chlorobenzene, including HCH and DDT, which is rarely used or banned now; The other is chlorinated alicyclic compounds, including dieldrin, toxaphene, nitrodanheptyline and so on.
There are two reasons for organochlorine pesticide poisoning: first, users accidentally take or pollute underwear and skin during pesticide production, transportation, storage and use; The other is suicide, which is intentional oral poisoning. The toxicity of organochlorine pesticides to human body is mainly manifested in the damage to nerves and substantive organs.
Poisoned people have strong irritating symptoms, mainly including headache, dizziness, red and bloodshot eyes, tears and fear of light, cough, sore throat, fatigue, hyperhidrosis, salivation, nausea, loss of appetite, insomnia and abnormal head and face feeling. In addition to the above symptoms, moderate poisoning patients also have vomiting, abdominal pain, limb pain, convulsions, cyanosis, dyspnea and tachycardia. In addition to the above symptoms, patients with severe poisoning also have high fever, sweating, muscle contraction, seizures and coma. Even death.
Emergency treatment
1. When someone eats BHC and DDT by mistake, they should immediately induce vomiting and gastric lavage, give the poisoned person plenty of water or alkaline solutions such as baking soda, and then stimulate the throat wall with fingers or chopsticks to induce vomiting and spit out toxic substances in the stomach, which can accelerate the discharge of poisons in the body, reduce the absorption of toxins by the human body, relieve symptoms and control the disease.
2. If you are poisoned by clothes and skin pollution, you should immediately take off the contaminated clothes and rinse them with water first; Rinse with baking soda or alkaline soapy water to block the source of poison and keep warm to prevent colds.
3. In order to expel toxic substances from the body as soon as possible, you should also take cathartics and laxatives, but remember not to use oil laxatives, because oil drugs will promote the body to accept organic chlorine and aggravate poisoning.
4. If the severely poisoned person has respiratory or cardiac arrest, massage and artificial respiration should be carried out immediately and sent to the hospital for rescue.
