This year is the 30-year history of China's reform and opening up. Looking back on the development of reform and opening up for 30 years, looking back on my own experience and life, I really look helpless. At that time, it was nearly a third century since liberation. Because our country has come from the poverty line, the living standards of the broad masses of people have indeed improved greatly compared with those before liberation, but the living standards at that time could not meet the growing material and cultural needs of the people. There is a general shortage of materials, and everything is in short supply. "There are thousands of tickets for thousands of goods." Everything must be supplied by ticket, and you can't live without ticket. At that time, people could only scrimp and save, and they could only do everything, not to mention the word satisfaction. Life is in a dilemma, so is almost everyone.

1978, China * * * Production Party held the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee and made a major strategic decision on reform and opening up. So the standard of truth was discussed all over the country, and the people's minds were constantly liberated. In particular, Comrade Xiaoping put forward that "development is the last word" and "persist in reform and opening up, emancipate the mind and seek truth from facts". There has been sustained economic development throughout the country, thus laying the foundation for the unprecedented development and strength of the country at present. China has become one of the world's great powers, and people's life has been greatly improved compared with that before the reform and opening up. If nothing else, the development of our family is enough to prove that "reform and opening up" has brought a new leap.

Politically, he was awarded as an advanced worker in the city's supply and marketing system in 1978 and a model worker in Shanghai in 1979. At the end of 1984, under the education and training of the Party, I became a glorious party member. If I am in the era of "class struggle as the key link", because my social relations are not good, maybe no matter how active you are, you can't enter the party's door. This was a very realistic problem at that time. The most gratifying thing is that my youngest son, WU GANG, was approved as the official party member at the end of last month. As far as our family is concerned, it is also a successor, which makes me feel at ease.

In terms of culture, I studied in Yangshan Primary School (Grade 5) during the Japanese occupation. After liberation, I got practical work training, which can only be regarded as equivalent to junior high school education. My wife studied in an amateur middle school for a year before liberation. My two sons and one daughter were junior high school students who came during the Cultural Revolution. I missed the formal learning opportunity. Only my youngest son is still working hard at self-study and has obtained an undergraduate diploma in the field of adult education. This is also a fact. Two granddaughters. A grandson is a beneficiary of reform and opening up. Grandson graduated from Shanghai Young Cadre College three years ago and now works in a foreign-funded enterprise in Caojing Chemical Industry Zone. Grandson is a sophomore at Shanghai University of Technology this year. Fortunately, my little grandson was admitted to Fudan University in Shanghai this year. At present, our family is immersed in a happy mood. This is also a fruitful achievement since the reform and opening up. Nowadays, young people are highly educated, while the elderly are generally less educated. This phenomenon shows that society is progressing. Unwilling to be lonely, I went to Fengxian University for the Aged to study landscape painting, computer typing, surfing the Internet and playing with digital cameras.

In terms of housing, 30 years ago, a family of six people was squeezed into an old factory building with a size of less than 40 square meters, which made life inconvenient for the family. At that time, they dreamed of having a house. Twenty years ago, the unit built its own staff dormitory. According to the policy at that time, my family was assigned to a 60-square-meter three-story building, which was really happy. But when the children grow up, what's the use of this 60 square meters? Later, the children thought for themselves. At that time, our stairs were allocated to eight employees. Now, only my family and the low Xu family still live in the original house, and the other six have chosen new homes, and the living environment has been further improved. So I sometimes visit my former colleagues' homes and find the conditions in their new houses really attractive. In my heart, there is a sour jealousy. As long as I look at housing, most people are rich. Actually, I don't have to be jealous. My "golden house" is not inferior. The geographical environment is very good. Banks, supermarkets, farmers' markets, hospitals and communities are all around. "Quiet" is really a good place to live. I live in a mansion on the third and fourth floors, with two rooms facing south, an old couple living and a living room, kitchen and bathroom. This year, both the north and south balconies have been decorated with aluminum alloy windows. Through the transformation, the lighting of the house is better, and the air is more circulating than before, which makes people feel different. Recently, the government has carried out the renovation of old houses in our community, as well as the renovation of three sewers, all of which are funded by the government, but the residents of the community have not paid a penny. Nowadays, residents have more convenient water use and smoother drainage, which is really inexhaustible.

In terms of wage income, before the reform and opening up, the monthly wage was only 1, 996,5438+0, 1, and the total of standard wage and enterprise wage was only 1, in 70 yuan. After retiring in 1992, especially in recent years, wages have been rising every year, and now they are close to 2000 yuan per month.

In terms of medical security, the state gives special care to our elderly. Whenever we are hospitalized in the outpatient department, the patient only bears a small part of the expenses, and the country pays the big part.

If the above situation were not for the reform and opening up, the people would not have benefited so much without the strong economic support of the country. Therefore, today we live in a peaceful and prosperous era, we should know how to cherish and maintain today's society, and we should know how to repay kindness. I am an ordinary party member. I haven't done anything important before, but now I can't bear the heavy responsibility. However, according to my own physical strength, under the leadership of the branch, I will actively strive to do some work within my power and live up to the kindness of the party and the motherland.
