A) Power system security and stability control system theory and device: power system security and stability identification and prediction theory, power system emergency control theory, security and stability control system implementation technology and device.

B) New relay protection of power system: study new relay protection principle, new relay protection device, state detection and protection system and new technologies related to relay protection.

C) Power system communication: the theory and technology of power line high-speed carrier, the access network technology using power line high-speed carrier, and the theory and method of "three networks in one" of telephone, computer and power.

D) Related technologies of distributed power generation and access, including the research on operation characteristics of distributed power supply, controllability after access of distributed power supply, protection and safety automatic device after access of distributed power supply.

Main contribution

Two books, Power System Relay Protection and National Unified Examination Outline and Guide for Comprehensive Level of Electrical Engineering, have been published, among which Power System Relay Protection is a national planning textbook during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period.

More than 200 papers have been published at home and abroad, including more than 20 papers retrieved by SCI and more than 0/00 papers retrieved by EI, and the papers have been cited for more than 300 times.
