Dalian University of Finance and Economics, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, was transformed from Jinqiao Business School of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics into a higher financial institution with economy and management as the mainstay and five disciplines of law, literature and art infiltrating and developing harmoniously.

Students majoring in international trade mainly study the basic knowledge, basic theory, basic skills and basic knowledge of adjacent majors of international economy and trade. They have a solid theoretical foundation, are familiar with international trade practices and business processes, are proficient in English and offer Japanese courses. Graduates of this major are suitable for working in various foreign trade companies, freight forwarding companies, transportation companies, logistics companies, banks, customs, commodity inspection and other government administrative departments.
