College 1973 was founded in Jiyuan City, Henan Province, and was then named as 53 1 Mechanical Industry School. 1978 was renamed Zhongyuan Machinery Industry School, 1979 moved to Nanyang, and 200 1 was upgraded to higher vocational and technical college.
Over the past 34 years, the College has been subordinate to the Fifth Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ordnance Industry Department, the Machinery Industry Committee, the Machinery and Electronics Industry Department, the Ordnance Industry Corporation and the People's Government of Henan Province. Although the affiliation has changed several times, the college has always adhered to the purpose of basing itself on the military industry and serving the society.
