First of all, we should understand that American psychologist Maslow has five needs theories:
1, physiological needs are the basic needs of personal survival. Such as clothing, food, shelter and transportation;
2. Security needs, including psychological and material security, such as preventing theft and threats, preventing dangerous accidents, job security, social insurance and retirement funds;
3, social needs, people are a member of society, need friendship and group belonging, interpersonal communication needs mutual sympathy, mutual assistance and praise;
4. Respect for needs, including asking others to respect and having internal self-esteem;
5. Self-fulfilling needs means realizing the expectation of life through your own efforts, so as to truly feel meaningful to life and work.
Because the management decision-making level of the company doesn't understand these concepts at all, employees will only consider the needs of the second level when the needs of the first level are met. If you can't solve the problem of food and clothing, will you consider family harmony?
The feedback in the first stage shows that the employees have no opinion on the salary of 1500, which indicates that 1500 yuan can meet the basic physiological requirements. In the second stage, we need to consider family harmony on this basis. The learning and training provided by the company is the fifth-level demand.
If you don't understand the actual needs of employees and use incentives incorrectly, it will certainly be counterproductive.
