Yan's profile
Yan (1940 -2005), formerly known as Pingliang, Gansu, was originally from Jilin. He is the tenth generation descendant of Kongtong School, a famous traditional martial arts school in China, and a hot figure in the martial arts field in the 1970s and 1980s. /kloc-won the first national Wushu competition (1956) at the age of 0/6, and won five championships in the World Wushu Competition held in Myanmar at the age of 0/7. He was also the youngest principal of the five schools that year. Then he jumped to the third place in the list of world martial artists published by the University of Cambridge, England, and was evaluated by the Sports History Society of China. Due to the influence of the Cultural Revolution and China's neglect of traditional martial arts, Master Yan moved to Japan with the help of his wife Hua Wuying. During her stay in Japan, Master returned to China five times to find a successor. Before returning to Japan in February 2005, he gave Zhang Pai's seal to disciple Bai Yihai, asking him to carry it forward. In June of the same year, he died in Tokyo, Japan at the age of 60.
