It originated from an English paper published by ChemCatChem magazine under the European Chemical Publishing Association in June 2065438+2005. In this paper, Li Xiao was the first author, and Liu Yi (a pseudonym), the master student he was instructing at that time, was the second author.
Liu Yi believes that Li Xiao wrote a manuscript with the data obtained from his own experiments, and became the first author of the paper, which infringed his right of authorship. Therefore, he took Li Xiao to court, hoping that the court would recognize him as the first author of this paper.
