Write a rainbow.

Rainbow prose

Rainbow is a beautiful optical phenomenon, which is red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple from outside to inside. A rainbow is a raindrop that shoots in mid-air. After refraction and reflection, the light forms a colorful spectrum in the sky. A few days ago, in science class, we learned something about rainbows. After returning home, we tried to do a small experiment of making rainbows, but we couldn't solve a question: Does rainbows always bend?

For this problem, I checked many pictures and found that all rainbows are curved, whether in illustrations in books or photos. But why is this? Although I solved my own problem, another one came to my mind.

I have these explanations for this problem: 1, the refracted object. Rainbow is formed by the refraction of raindrops and dew. Could it be caused by raindrops and dewdrops? When sunlight enters the water drop, it will be incident at different angles at the same time and reflected at different angles in the water drop. Will these water droplets be shaped? 2. The shape of the earth. The earth itself is a sphere, and the rainbow is naturally curved.

Through discussion with classmates and searching information on the Internet, the first possibility ruled out the possibility of 1, and the second possibility stayed because we found the basis on the Internet.

It turns out that the shape of the rainbow has a lot to do with the shape of the earth. Because the earth's surface is a curved surface and is covered by a thick atmosphere, the water content in the air after rain is higher than usual, and the sunlight is refracted when it turns into small water droplets in the air. At the same time, because the atmosphere on the earth's surface is curved, sunlight refracts on the surface, forming the arc rainbow we see!

Nature is magical, it can create so many wonderful phenomena waiting for us to explore its secrets! I will definitely study hard and explore with scientists in the future!
