The English major of the Department of International Business trains compound and practical talents with high English level, certain international business knowledge and time ability, which can be in line with international business norms and be competent for foreign trade, international finance, foreign-funded enterprises, press and publication, education and scientific research.

Third, the training specifications and methods

Students are required to develop morally, intellectually and physically in an all-round way, have a compound knowledge structure, not only cultivate English listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating abilities in an all-round way, but also have a high level of English, be familiar with the basic concepts, categories, principles and general operating methods of international business, be able to read a second foreign language, be proficient in using computers, and have good comprehensive quality. Grade one and grade two focus on the core courses of related subjects of English Department, and conduct strict and comprehensive English language skills training, and at the same time offer a certain number of basic courses of international business. In the third and fourth grades, in addition to continuing to strengthen language learning and training in English reading, writing and translation, we will focus on the basic theory and knowledge courses of international business. The main business courses use English textbooks and are taught in English. Give play to the excellent style of study of integrating theory with practice, organize students to carry out comprehensive quality practice activities, and cultivate students' practical work ability.

Fourth, the curriculum system

This major offers 1 1 general courses, 16 core courses and 18 elective courses in four years. Students of this major must complete 160 credits within four years, including 3 credits for general courses, 98 credits for core courses and 3 credits for elective courses (including cultural quality seal cutting, professional elective courses and public elective courses of the whole school). The fourth-grade students write their graduation thesis under the guidance of their tutors. Topic selection, data collection, analysis and research run through the whole fourth academic year, and it takes three to four weeks to finish writing in the last semester.
