Lai Chao was born in 1 147, the third son of Yi Dynasty, and the official heir of Genji family governor. After the Pingzhi Uprising, Lai Chao, who was only 13 years old, was exiled to Izu. Later, in response to the imperial edict of the Iraqi king, he rose up against Pingjia and was defeated by the superior Pingjia troops in the Battle of Shiqiaoshan (it is said that he was saved by Muyuan, who was still in Pingjia camp at that time). After experiencing more military setbacks, he handed the combat task to his younger brother, I Ching, retired to Kamakura to guide the activities of the administrative alliance, and established an effective administrative organization with the samurai class in power. With the influence of Mu Zeng, Zhong Yi, Shi Ping and Yuan Yijing, he killed Shuiben Yedian and was made a foreign general, thus creating the Kamakura shogunate. 1 199 died of an accidental fall from a horse and fell into the hands of his wife Masako Kitajima. Mu was once a member of Genji family, the second son of Prince Scheeren Yixian, whose real name was Wan. His father Yixian was killed by Akuganda Yiping in Kamakura on August 16th in the second year of Jiushou (1 155), and his mother sent him to Muzeng Zhongyuan, which was only two years old, a long way away. Because he was raised by Mu Zeng in the Central Plains, he was called Mu Zeng Zhong Yi, and he was the younger brother of Yuan Yijing and Yuan Laichao. In response to the imperial edict of King Yiren, he set out to attack Pingjia, and defeated Pingweisheng with a fire cow in the battle of Jallow Valley in Galilee. After a series of battles, he entered Kyoto, and he was in power for a time. However, due to the plunder of its longitudinal army and the obstruction of the source experts and the source Lai dynasty, it was at odds with Goshirakawa and then opposed the source Lai dynasty. Although he was named a general who conquered foreign countries, he was quickly defeated by Yuan Yijing in the Hezhe War in Ujigawa and died.
He is an important figure in Genji's final victory over Ping, and his name has been circulated for a long time. Stories about him are also widely circulated, the most famous of which are his love story with Tomoe Gozen and his tragic fate of fighting to death. Translators: Zhou Zuoren, Shen Fei
Beijing China People's Literature Publishing House commissioned Zhou Zuoren to translate The Story of Ping Family. He died in the Cultural Revolution and became his last 1 translator. When he arrived at the Humanities Society, he asked Shen Fei to continue translating The Complete Works, which was published after the reform and opening up. Volume 13, the first six volumes are translated weekly, and the last seven volumes are applied for supplementary translation. At that time, due to the unfinished Cultural Revolution, Zhou Zuoren was signed as Zhou Qiming in the 1984 edition, and his words were taken.
Zhou Zuoren's translations often don't deviate from the sentence patterns of the original text, but with the development of Chinese popularization, the "faithfulness" of Zhou's translated western works has become an obstacle to "expressiveness", and similar situations are rare in Japanese translations. Works such as "Tale of the Pings" are still lively and pungent, and they are extremely comfortable to read. Zhou's translation is obviously not as good as Shen Fei's revised translation, which is more in line with the habits of modern Chinese. Shen's translation also has its own shortcomings. Mainly take care of the appreciation habits of China readers, too elegant, hard to avoid bad words. Another advantage of Zhou's translation is his annotation. The annotation of Shen's translation is estimated to be arranged and deleted on the basis of Zhou's translation, so it is more concise, to the point and accurate, which is very helpful to understand the historical background and laws and regulations of this book, but that's all. However, Zhou Zhu has its own characteristics, which reflects Zhou's extensive knowledge and elegant taste as a scholar. Basic information

The Story of the Pingjia Family is a masterpiece of war literature born in the late development of Japanese story literature. It was originally a rap version, with as many as 200 versions. Today, there are still ancient manuscripts with music scores, called "Pingqu", which are widely circulated among the people. This story developed on this basis and was written in the first half of13rd century, more than100th year before China's Romance of the Three Kingdoms. As for the author, according to14th century Japanese prose collection "Grass in vain", this book was written by the president of the front department of the Ministry of Information (that is, the local governor), but there are also various textual researches, and no conclusion has been reached so far.
The Pingjia story originated in the important historical period of the transition from ancient Japanese aristocratic society to medieval feudal society. At that time, the aristocratic class represented by the royal family declined gradually, and the local feudal warrior class rose rapidly, and wars were frequent. In particular, the two samurai groups, Pingjia and Genji, dominated for nearly 30 years, and dozens of battles broke out. In the end, Genji won and established the Kamakura Shogunate, which lasted for 600 years. Tale of the Ping Family records the most changeable times in Japanese history, focusing on the rise and fall of the Ping family and the political and military struggle between the two groups, especially the magnificent war scene between the Ping family and the Yuan family. Can be said to be a magnificent heroic narrative poem, known as Japan's Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Many later Japanese novels, dramas, kabuki, Quyi and other literary and artistic works were based on this work. Many stories and characters in the book are also household names in Japan, which shows its far-reaching influence among the people.
Although Pinghua is written according to historical facts, it is not the original record of history, but is composed of lyrics and narratives after careful generalization and artistic processing, and has successfully shaped many heroic images in history, giving them different personalities, such as headstrong and violent, brave and bold source meaning, witty and decisive source meaning and so on. In terms of language art, it not only uses verse prose, but also mixes Chinese style, which is a major change in Japanese literature. Since then, narrative literature and other kinds of literature have been greatly influenced by it. This story, like other story literature, has a strong Buddhist color and advocates the idea of "pure land to live", but it is still an excellent classical masterpiece.
The current edition of this book is thirteen volumes with 192 sections. Here, five sections are selected: the little prime minister threw himself into the sea, the death of Muzeng, the beheading of Tosab, the departure of the judge, and the becoming a monk in the women's hospital. The translator added a preface at the beginning of each section, so that readers can understand the ins and outs of the story.

In 2005, Dahe drama The Book of Changes was originally written. Tomiko Miyao, the representative figure of Japanese "female story", is a historical masterpiece after seven years of research and creation. Yao Mi's Story of Pinggu is his latest masterpiece, which combines cultural research, historical experience and novel artistic skills! In addition to faithfully presenting the rise and fall history of Genji and Shi Ping, two samurai groups in the late Heian period, with a unique and delicate female perspective, it refuted the previous historians' wanton condemnation of Pingjia, emphasized Pingqingsheng's mental journey and painstaking efforts to maintain the prosperity of the family, voiced for women who were in troubled times and left their fate to others, and told the helplessness and twists and turns of women at that time.
The Story of the Ping Family, published at the end of the palace, profoundly depicts the characters' personalities and all kinds of characters in troubled times. Whether it is the loyalty of the samurai, the righteousness of the general, or the gesture of not letting a man be a woman, it adds more drama to this turbulent history, and the characters in the book are more flesh-and-blood and amiable, and they are no longer just distant historical figures. Although it describes the war years, the writing is fresh, and the elegance of ancient culture is expressed in modern words, which is smooth and easy to read; In addition, paying attention to the description of female characters, women with different fates have their own distinctive and unique images, which are even more touching. It is a masterpiece of Japanese historical stories that you can't miss! The Story of Xinping Family (formerly NHK Dahe Drama: The Story of Xinping Family in Yoshikawa Eiji).

Ping Qingsheng (20 12 NHK Dahe Drama Starring: Matsuyama Kenichi, Keiko Shenda, Hiroshi Tamaki, Shota Matsuda, Riko Narumi, naohito fujiki, etc. ) English translation: Heck's story.
This book gives a good introduction to the classic stories of the Heck people.
It has an information preface about the culture of this period and the history of this story. Its maps, period illustrations, detailed character glossary and in-depth bibliography greatly enhance the scope and historical importance of the work. Evil and kindness, life and death, winners and losers are all examined in this classic warrior story, and many of its heroes and villains are resurrected with immediacy and insight.
However. No matter how excellent the translation and scholarship of this version are, it is so abridged.
Admittedly, this unabridged story may be a challenge for me, but the original text has been edited with a scalpel that is too sharp. The nuances of the characters' personalities, fierce movements, and the acceptance of complete failure and bitterness have all been lost, which weakens the influence and emotional depth of this classic work.
But the fact remains: it would be better if this abridged edition aroused the interest of those who don't want to read the original. It quickly brought readers into the world and history of Heck, and provided them with a compelling and satisfactory reading.
Other foreign language translations are unknown.
