abstract

The problem of aging population in the world is becoming more and more serious. In order to realize the development goal of "for all ages" put forward by the United Nations, we should strive to meet the basic medical needs of the elderly, establish a multi-level medical security system, improve their medical conditions and provide a perfect nursing environment for them.

key word

Population aging; Perfect nursing

I. Existing Problems and Analysis

(1) The concept of population aging has two meanings: first, it refers to the process of the relative increase of the elderly population and its proportion in the total population; Second, it means that the social population structure is in an aging state and has entered an aging society. The general view in the world is that when the population over 60 years old accounts for 10% of the total population in a country or region, or the population over 65 years old accounts for 7% of the total population, it means that the population of this country or region is in an aging society.

(II) Current Situation and Trend of Population Aging in China Since 1990s, the aging process in China has been accelerated. The population aged 65 and above increased from 62.99 million in 1990 to 88 1 1000 in 20xx, accounting for 6.96% of the total population. At present, the population of China has entered the elderly type.

The death difference between the sexes makes the female elderly become the vast majority of the elderly population. It is estimated that by 20xx, the proportion of the elderly aged 65 and above in the total population will exceed 20%. At the same time, the aging trend of the elderly population is becoming more and more obvious: the number of elderly people aged 80 and above is increasing by 5% every year, and will increase to more than 74 million by 20xx.

(III) Current situation and trend of aging in our city According to the statistics of registered population, by the end of 20xx, there were 753,500 elderly people aged 60 and above in our city, accounting for 17.27% of the total population, an increase of 39,200 people, with an increase of 5.49%. The degree of aging is higher than the proportion of 16. 18% in the whole province, ranking fourth in the province. Among them, 80-year-old and above 107900 people, accounting for 14.32% of the elderly population and 2.47% of the total population. It is estimated that by 20xx, the number of elderly people in our city will reach 654.38+0.58 million, and the aging ratio is close to 40.24%.

(4) The health problems of the elderly are very serious. The increase in the number of elderly people and their proportion in the total population means that more and more people will enter the age group at risk of suffering from certain chronic diseases and physical fatigue. Entering old age is a major turning point in life. The old man has left his job for many years and his daily life has changed. Therefore, whether psychologically or physically, there will be great changes and even many problems.

Due to the aging and functional decline of body tissues, various senile diseases follow one after another. With the increase of age, the incidence of non-infectious and infectious diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and tumors increases. According to relevant statistics, the prevalence rate of the elderly over 65 years old in China is 60.2%, which is 2.54 times of the average prevalence rate of the total population of 23.7%.

(e) The current lack of medical care for the elderly.

At present, the shortcomings of medical care for the elderly are as follows:

1. Some cities and regions in China have entered the aging society ahead of schedule, but the social preparation is really insufficient, and the care, travel and medical care of the elderly have not received social attention.

2. Some units can't give pensions to the elderly, and medical expenses can't be reimbursed in time, which leads to financial difficulties for the elderly, illness can't be treated in time, and minor illness becomes serious illness.

At present, medical work is still carried out on the basis of hospitals at all levels. Hospitals only treat patients as clients, not healthy and susceptible elderly groups, and put the prevention and health care of senile diseases in a secondary position.

(six) the traditional medical model has the following problems

The traditional medical model has the following problems:

1. Ignoring the self-care ability and curative effect of the elderly, only paying attention to the treatment of diseases, but not paying enough attention to the psychological and social factors that affect their health.

2. Pay attention to medical work and neglect preventive health care; Clinicians attach importance to individual patient information and ignore group patient information; Lack of detailed understanding of the health status of the elderly. Because the data of the age structure, illness and health level of the elderly population can not be obtained in time, it is impossible to monitor and analyze the high-risk groups of various serious diseases and put forward preventive measures.

3. With the increase of the elderly population year by year and the extension of life span, the health status of the elderly population is inversely proportional to their age, and most of them suffer from various diseases, and the hospitalization rate is much higher than that of young and middle-aged people. In Beijing, where patients are concentrated, elderly patients are often difficult to be hospitalized for various reasons, and it is difficult to make timely diagnosis and treatment.

Second, measures and suggestions to solve the problem

The author thinks that the aging of population is one of the most important achievements and one of the most severe challenges facing mankind. Population aging is the development of social economy, the improvement of material and cultural living standards and the achievement of public health policy. However, achieving certain achievements does not mean perfection, and the medical care for the elderly is still lacking and needs to be further improved.

Shaoxing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, as a third-class hospital, has excellent technology and high quality in nursing for the elderly. The author believes that there is no best care for the elderly, only better, insisting on Excellence and improving day by day. As a nursing staff of Shaoxing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, the author has the following suggestions for the nursing of the elderly.

(1) There are many levels in the medical policy to improve the needs of the elderly, and priority should be given to solving the needs of the elderly.

What needs to be clear is that not all the needs of the elderly should be solved by the government, but should be covered by the government. For the basic bottom-up needs of the elderly, such as economy, medical care and legitimate rights and interests, the government should mainly solve them, especially the basic medical security for the elderly with difficulties should be borne by the government.

Establish and improve the basic medical security system to ensure that the elderly enjoy medical security, get medical treatment when they are sick, and get maximum care when they are hospitalized. For those elderly people with high income and high personal needs, the government can formulate preferential policies to activate the market and rely on social forces to meet their needs.

(b) Improvement of nursing services

In the nursing service, we should equip high-quality nursing staff to provide high-quality nursing.

1. As doctors and nurses, they have more nursing knowledge and experience, can make correct diagnosis and treatment according to patients' signs, and can find out the changes of illness in time and give appropriate rescue and care in various atypical clinical reaction symptoms.

2 with solid professional knowledge and rich clinical experience, according to the characteristics of a variety of diseases, disease complications and a person suffering from multiple diseases at the same time, the right medicine.

3. The functional decline of elderly patients and the long-term recurrence of diseases make the urethra, blood vessels and other organs hard and narrow, which brings difficulties to the technical operation of medical care. Medical staff have excellent technical operation skills, which can reduce the unnecessary pain of patients and avoid improper operation affecting the technical effect.

4. Patience, as a medical staff serving the elderly, not only has the necessary professional qualities of a general doctor, but also has a special patience and tireless care for the elderly.

Old people, especially elderly patients, are prone to world-weariness and autism due to the suffering of diseases and the reduction of social communication. Old people especially like to recall the past and talk to others. Medical staff pay special attention to the quality of psychological care and listen to the voice of the elderly with love.
