Folk Culture in Lantian Township
Lantian Yao nationality has a long history. At the same time, it shares some cultural characteristics with Miao Yao language family and Zhuang-Dong language family, but it is quite different from Liannan Bapai Yao and Yuebei Guoshanyao. Folk customs are unique, such as "jumping fire dogs", "singing songs between men and women", "staying at home" and "having festivals on the moon and the moon", as well as other folk customs that are different from those of Yao people in other parts of Guangdong, such as worshipping the Yao people and recruiting soldiers. According to legend, the first monk grew up eating dog milk, so the dog is the idol of Yao compatriots in Lantian. Eating dog meat was forbidden in the past, but now only a few Han immigrants eat dog meat. The national dance "Dancing Fire Dog" won the national national national dance gold medal.
