Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences was established in June, 1978. Its predecessor was Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, which was formed by the merger of the former Policy Research Office of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Sichuan Academy of Philosophy and Social Sciences. In April, it was renamed Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences with the approval of Sichuan Provincial Committee, 1983. It is the largest comprehensive academic research institution of humanities and social sciences in southwest China with the strongest scientific research and teaching strength. Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences shoulders the responsibility of understanding the world, inheriting civilization, innovating theory, consulting and educating people, and serving the society. In the practice of reform, opening up and modernization in Sichuan province, it has provided ideological guarantee, spiritual motivation and intellectual support for economic construction and social development in Sichuan and even the whole country.
In June 1982, 165438+ 10, our college was established in graduate department (in March 2007, it was officially renamed as a graduate school with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial Organizational Establishment Committee), and in June 1983 was put on record by the Ministry of Education. After more than 20 years of construction and development, relying on strong scientific research strength and educational resources, graduate education in our college has achieved sustained and healthy development.
With a complete range of disciplines, it has become one of the important bases for cultivating senior professionals in philosophy and social sciences in China. At present, our college has five master's degree authorization points in applied economics, law, politics, sociology and China language and literature, and 44 master's degree authorization points in two disciplines. At present, our college has 7 provincial-level key disciplines, 1 college-level excellent disciplines, 44 master's degree authorization points,1doctoral degree authorization points (joint), and 3 provincial-level postdoctoral scientific research mobile stations, and it is also the only authorized unit of local social science master of law in China.
International and domestic academic exchanges are frequent. Our college has established long-term academic relations with universities and academic institutions in the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, Russia, the Netherlands, Vietnam and other countries and regions 10, and established cooperation and academic exchange relations with many domestic universities such as China Academy of Social Sciences, Sichuan University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Southwest Jiaotong University and Sichuan Agricultural University. In 2005, the State Council Academic Degrees Committee approved our college and Sichuan Agricultural University to jointly recruit and train doctoral students. In 2007, our hospital was approved by the Sichuan Provincial Personnel Department to establish a postdoctoral research mobile station.
