What about Yu Hua's brother?
To tell the truth, Brothers is really a good work to read, especially the first third. His narrative of a village "voyeurism" story and his grasp of the plot are excellent. More importantly, Yu Hua put the background of his works on the transition point from the "Cultural Revolution" to nearly 40 years today. He told the media endlessly that China's 40 years have a historical span of 400 years in Europe, and the novel is about this transcendental human story. Although we don't know how the second part of Brothers will interpret human nature and contemporary legends, only from the first half of Brothers, Yu Hua basically realized his own attempt.
