He graduated from Peking Opera Class of Shanghai Opera School and the first National Excellent Young Peking Opera Actor Postgraduate Class of China Opera Academy. He studied under the famous clowns Yan, Ai Shiju, Sun Zhengyang, Sun Ruichun, and Zheng School (Zheng Faxiang).
