Summarize the problem paper
The joy of work is sometimes to work with some excellent people, observe their good qualities, learn what they can learn, think for themselves, and constantly improve themselves while observing and appreciating others in the dark. This is an interesting and beneficial thing. This year and a half, I learned these four truths from them:

0 1

Ability to give priority to problems

For various reasons, I can't devote myself to the case now. I am more concerned with all kinds of affairs, such as writing graduation thesis, going through graduation formalities, assisting practicing lawyers in handling cases, knowledge management, and setting up a new office. It's an understatement, but many things are intertwined, which is still a great test for yourself. But observing my colleagues around me, whether they are young lawyers or partners who have just started practicing, it can be said that the situation I am facing should be normal. Therefore, I have a lot to say. Ownership is an excuse, which will only add laughter and be slightly melodramatic.

From trainee lawyers to practicing lawyers, to partnership lawyers and even chief lawyers, the work pressure and responsibilities they often have to bear are gradually improving. The more things, the more important it is to deal with priorities. Those colleagues with strong working ability have a clear understanding of priorities, think clearly and do it simply. Perhaps, they don't have the concept of "priority" in their minds, but they will tell you in plain English: this matter is very important, finish it quickly and put other things aside.

A seemingly simple sentence is not easy to decide or implement. Because it is sometimes difficult for us to distinguish what is really important, we can only simply understand what needs to be done as important work, such as writing a defense near the limitation of action; But for those jobs that need "long-term operation", it is difficult for us to distinguish what is urgent and important, what is important but not urgent, what is urgent but not important and what is not urgent and not important according to the "four-quadrant time management method". How to identify and sort out the priorities and sequence of these matters is actually very difficult, especially when single-line and multi-line crossover operations are needed. Of course, it is difficult to determine the priority. Another reason is that you are passive in some things, rather than actively arranging them. For the arrangement and implementation of some things, you need to communicate with the "decision maker", which will make it more difficult for you to deal with problems in priority.

In fact, think about it, we are all busy with work and can't finish it. It's just that some people don't know what they have been busy with, but some people have a good pace of work and a clear work context. Whether the problem of priority is solved well is the key.

02

Energy distribution

Whether you are energetic or not can sometimes determine a person's ability to work.

Everyone's physical quality is different, regardless of physical problems and energy improvement, I learned a good method from my colleagues around me, that is, I must know how to allocate limited energy. Those colleagues with strong working ability are not necessarily energetic people at all times, but they must be people with efficient energy distribution.

How to allocate limited energy? Let me give you an example: I have been playing the glory of the king in my spare time recently, and I often spit out some "primary school students". Why? Because when we were in a team battle, he was "fighting wild", but when the other side was bleeding, he ran over and released a big move. There is also walking on the road and seeing a small soldier walking slowly there, he ran over and hit others with a big move. This is typical of not knowing how to distribute energy. Few of us can say that it is good enough to keep 100% energy at work. We can't keep "full of blood" all the time, which requires us to know how to reserve and distribute energy and adjust our working conditions.

The first method is to combine the priority mentioned in the first point, and your energy distribution should be able to effectively match the priority. What is the most valuable job? When the opportunity comes, do you have enough energy to face the opportunity and get a good return? In the era of collective anxiety, so-called bosses and teachers are collecting "IQ tax". If you don't study, enroll in micro-classes, attend classes or participate in training, you will feel anxious and feel that you can't keep up with them. Especially at present, there are many learning methods and contents to choose from, and the fragmentation of time has become an undeniable and unchangeable norm. Therefore, you must understand and master a set of energy distribution methods that belong to you and can adapt to this characteristic, which determines your learning choices and methods.

Another way is to focus on everything. Energy distribution is related to concentration and long-term investment. Even if you firmly believe in the "10,000-hour principle" and practice it seriously, the effect may not be significant, because not everything can be obtained through hard work, and hard work is not unimportant, but hard work alone is not enough. So we say that you have found something that requires a lot of energy, that is, you have found the direction or content. Then, you need to focus on doing this well and improving efficiency.

Of course, for me at this stage, concentration is sometimes more important than priority and energy distribution. After all, it is still difficult for me to decide the direction and content. As for whether you focus on knowledge management, handling cases, or reading all kinds of books, it actually makes no difference. The question is not what kind of content you choose, but whether you are focused and devoted when you do something. Not distracted, not impetuous, not so anxious.

03

Distinguish between transactional and non-transactional work

Generally speaking, transactional work has these characteristics: time is tight, attitude thinking is not needed, substitutability is strong, the results are difficult to distinguish, and mistakes are easy to be criticized. Some characteristics of non-transactional work: loose time limit, profound thinking, easy to reflect the personality of workers, able to determine excellent results, and easy to be tolerated if they fail. Focusing on transactional work is often more noticeable, but it does not deny the importance of transactional work. On the contrary, a lot of routine work is basic work and the premise of other work. Moreover, it is worth pointing out that almost all transactional work has long been neglected. If you can optimize these daily tasks, you may get a chance to prove your strength.

However, there is often a positive feedback relationship between the results and the evaluation. If you just do repetitive mechanical work day after day, you can do it well, keep the deadline and make few mistakes. Years later, you are still doing the repetitive daily work. If you are lucky enough to get a non-transactional job and finish it beyond expectations, you are likely to get the next chance and enter a positive cycle.

The situation I am facing now, because my ability and experience are limited, is mainly transactional work, so I should think more about how to do transactional work well and how to find ways to improve it, so as to improve the efficiency of the team or help the development of the team.

And how to focus on doing transactional work and preparing for non-transactional work, the specific points that can be considered may be as follows:

(1) Where are the customers' expectations? Can you surpass it?

(2) Situational thinking, imagining the "users" and "usage scenarios" of work results, how to improve their work efficiency?

(3) results-oriented thinking, "work performance is the best personal brand", and evaluation and reward are paid after delivery;

(4) Structured thinking: By establishing a framework, the collected materials such as laws and regulations, cases, professional papers and legal documents are summarized according to certain logic, and then complex problems are simplified.

(5) Clear the direction of efforts. It is strange that you are thinking about how to innovate and optimize the task of emergency arrangement by your superiors, but you can't be scolded;

(6) Decide the deadline by yourself. What I decide is the time it takes my opponent to complete the reform in his daily work. Before that, you need to make sure that the daily work can still be completed according to the apparent deadline.

04

Balance work and life

Work and life should be two parallel lines, but they are always involved. You may vent some frustration at work on your closest family members, or your work may be affected by family reasons. Of course, if the relationship between work and life is properly handled, the two can still complement each other. People with strong working ability can often arrange their lives in order. It is observed that they mainly have these characteristics:

(1) Clear planning

Planning should first have clear goals, such as work goals, how much money to earn in the first three years of internship, and how much to earn after maturity; In terms of life goals, how much time should you spend with your family, be a healthy person and so on. Then, prioritize these goals: which goals are the most important? What goals can be postponed? For example, I am a teenager now, and improving my business ability is definitely the top priority, and I must spend my greatest energy on it. Trying to enjoy the fun of work doesn't mean I don't have other goals. Sometimes I have too many goals. I also want to come out to see the great rivers and mountains of the motherland, chat with friends, visit my parents more when I have time, and spend time with my relatives. But with limited energy, it is impossible to do everything, so you must learn to do subtraction.

Determine your goals and priorities, and then you need to be as detailed as possible. For example, I want to be a "crop" in government legal services. What steps should I go through? When is the deadline? How to evaluate the completion of tasks in each stage? In fact, the more detailed the goal, the more helpful it is for us to predict the time needed to achieve the goal more accurately, and then optimize the planning.

(2) Time planning should have a sense of ceremony.

In fact, the sense of ritual is to arrange a fixed time to do a fixed thing, avoiding the energy consumption caused by choosing phobia.

For example, give yourself a meditation time before going to bed every day, turn off your mobile phone or block WeChat, and then close your eyes and meditate like a monk. The purpose of meditation is not to rest, but to cultivate concentration. From the form of expression, it is a ceremony. Here, I recommend an APP called "Forest". This APP is an application like a game. You should first time it to the time you want to focus on. Its regular picture is the seed of a sapling. As time goes on, seeds will grow into saplings, and saplings will grow into trees.

There are also some ceremonial feelings, such as getting up in the morning to wash and eat breakfast, writing a morning diary at a fixed time, and recording whatever comes to mind, regardless of whether the words are beautiful or clear.

Another sense of ceremony, such as going to the gym every Saturday afternoon, playing basketball and being with my family every Sunday. After these ritual things become daily, we can automatically complete the activities and avoid wasting precious willpower in choosing.

(3) High-quality leisure

Besides work and life, we should not only learn to work more effectively, but also learn how to relax effectively. Leisure does not lie in your vacation in a sea view room with a swimming pool, nor in how many plays you slept at home for two or three days and watched. It is purely subjective, mainly in subjective experience and quality. The purpose of leisure is to relax you and make people more efficient in their next work, not to make you still think about the work at hand, nor to make you feel bored and empty after leisure.

To get high-quality leisure, in fact, as mentioned above, is to concentrate on leisure activities wholeheartedly. Don't "rest while you want to work", which will not improve your work ability much, but will only make you more tired.

abstract

This article mainly talks about the following four points:

(1) Deal with problems with priorities and put things in order;

(2) Rational allocation of limited energy, focusing on everything;

(3) Distinguish between transactional work and non-transactional work, do transactional work well and make careful preparations for the arrival of non-transactional work;

(4) Balance work and life, and obtain high-quality leisure.

Maybe we live in an era of quick success and instant benefit, but I can learn these four points from them very well. I believe I will not be arrogant or impetuous, and my life is still beautiful.

Wish but do good, the future of Mo Wen!
