In recent years, he has been mainly engaged in the research of chemical thermodynamics and separation technology, the development of environmental chemical industry and clean production technology, such as the new technology of gasoline desulfurization, the properties, preparation and application of ionic liquids, the recycling technology of ozone-depleting substances (ODS), the replacement of ODS solvents in chemical production, and the emission reduction and recycling technology of greenhouse gases.

Since 2000, he has undertaken more than ten national natural science foundation and provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, such as molecular thermodynamics research and vapor-liquid equilibrium determination of ionic liquid system, elimination strategy of ODS chemical additives in China, and development of carbon tetrachloride conversion technology. Two versions have been published in CHEM ENG SCI, Chem Phillett, fluid phase balances, Mater SCI&; Eng(B) and other core journals have published more than 50 papers, including SCI papers 16 and EI papers 13.
