There are two main directions in the ancient history of China: one is the study of historical documents such as bamboo slips and imperial examinations. This direction has been paying equal attention to unearthed documents and handed down documents for many years. He has published seven books, such as Research on Zhao Mu System, Collection of Pre-Qin History, and two academic papers, Zhao Mu System and Early Marriage Forms of Zhou People, and Gender Issues of Emperors in Ancient Historical Legends. Second, China's ethnic relations and national cultural history. The research focuses on the ethnic relations and national thoughts in the Han Dynasty, Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties, especially the study of Jimi Fuzhou people, Shatuo people and Sogdians in the Tang Dynasty. For example, Professor Fan won the national and provincial project 1 item, published four series of papers on ethnic studies, and published monographs "Northern Group in Late Tang Dynasty, Five Dynasties and Dynasties" and "Li Keyong Pingzhuan". Associate Professor Liu has published three books, including Ethnic Groups at the Crossroads of Civilization —— A Study of the Sogdians Entering China (Commercial Press, 2006). China's modern history takes modern thoughts and Chinese national spirit as the research direction, and defines the research object as social ideological trend and national spirit which have a wide influence on the whole society and people's psychology with the participation of many social members. Over the years, regional history and culture have been relying on local ports, focusing on regional history and culture and its radiation, and choosing areas with both regional characteristics and academic concerns at home and abroad as research focuses, such as Shandong Peninsula, Maritime Silk Road and Quanzhen Road. We attach great importance to the excavation and refinement of local cultural and historical resources, such as the in-depth study of Xiandao culture, red culture, coastal culture, port culture, folk culture, Christian culture and the relationship between China, Japan and South Korea in Jiaodong. It not only serves the construction of local culture, but also builds a platform for local governments and cultural departments to communicate and talk with domestic and foreign countries.
