What is an RP server?
For many players, "role-playing" (hereinafter referred to as RP) is a word that sounds magical and mysterious. As the name implies, role-playing is to let you play a real-life role in the game, say what the role should say, do what the role should do, and show all the qualities and personalities that such a role should show. An online game server that requires players' behaviors to meet these conditions is called an RP server.
So for an online game, for World of Warcraft, what is the difference between RP server and PVE and PVP server?
Simply put, the biggest difference between RP servers and other servers is that they have a stronger role-playing atmosphere. In most RPG online games and even stand-alone games, the environment of "role-playing" is not so good. Maybe you just feel that you are really a character in the game for a short time. The RP server is just a server for players to better "role play".
In the RP server, all players come for a strong "role-playing" atmosphere, and each player defines his role in the game according to the background of World of Warcraft, his race and occupation. Yes, every character has his own personality, and his words and deeds reflect the character's personality. Here, there are gentlemen's paladins, cold and lonely thieves and rough and heroic soldiers. Of course, all this is not necessary, because the most important thing in the RP server is your understanding of the role and your role. Even a thief who lives in the shadow can behave like an elegant gentleman, as long as you can justify yourself.
There is no difference between RP server and other servers in mechanism. The only difference is the player's play. If you choose to play on a role-playing server, you will behave and talk like a character living in World of Warcraft.
RP server behavior suggestion
WoW players in China are about to be exposed to the legendary role-playing for the first time, and I believe many people will want to experience the "life in a fantasy world". However, players must understand that the real role-playing environment can not be built casually, nor can it be realized only by the strict management of GM. Every player who participates in the RP server must play the role of his choice with a serious and professional attitude, resolutely resist all behaviors that do not conform to the RP specification, and make this server a living Azeroth world and a paradise for role-playing enthusiasts.
Before you enter the RP server and do something you have never done before, we have some informal suggestions for your reference. For more stringent regulations, please refer to the RP server management regulations.
The basis of rapid prototyping:
Please always remember that in the RP server, you are not you, but the role you play. Another meaning of this sentence is that the role you play is not a mirror image of yourself, so don't have the idea of "I want to play a role exactly like myself" I've met some people who don't understand role-playing. They claim that playing the role of "silent monster killer" is also in line with the spirit of RP, but can you experience the unique fun of RP server in this way?
Naming of roles:
According to the investigation, almost all hunters who have some fantasy reading experience will name their pets Guan Haifa, Xiao Guan, or various variants with similar meanings; Almost all wizards who have some fantasy reading experience will name their characters Raistlin, Rabbit Ray, Xiao Lei, or something similar. Similarly, many thieves have a soft spot for the name Entrelli, and names such as Stone and Aragon are all over the streets.
Such a name may be suitable for ordinary PvE or PvP servers, but it is not creative on RP servers. You'd better think of a name that doesn't sound so popular. Even if you call yourself Bonaparte III, don't criticize the wisdom of others.
We suggest that your name can refer to the naming method of Azeroth aborigines. For example, the names of night elf players can be "Elena Serenade" or "Oscar Shadow Sword", while the names of tauren warriors, such as "Ba Erman Toto", are undoubtedly more like grasslands.
Of course, names such as "I love pigs", "Fight to the death" or "Haha, I'm coming" are against the naming rules of RP servers. Even if GM does not force you to change your name, many RP players will blacklist you.
Character's personality:
A glib player pointed out that it is my freedom to play a paladin who betrayed the silver hand or a priest who violated the belief in light. In other words, another meaning of this sentence is that I am too lazy to abide by the rules that some roles must abide by, and I even want to betray its original attributes, which is my freedom of RP.
In theory, it is, but it is too self-deceiving. If a person shows enough treachery and cunning, it is impossible for the knights to ignore his application for membership; If a priest is not even modest and prudent, he is likely to be locked up in a monastery and copy scrolls forever.
To participate in the RP activity of a fantasy RPG, you must abide by its inherent rules. This requires players to have a good understanding of the code of conduct of this profession in history and conventional fantasy stories.
*-Here you only need to look at the official history of Warcraft and the descriptions of professional tasks in some games. I don't recommend all players who play druids to Google the word "druid" and then recite Celtic religious research papers.
Character speech:
In the process of rapid prototyping, the behavior of the role is the most important way to shape its image. Generally speaking, you should pay attention to the following points:
-Your character had better not say anything that his rank shouldn't touch. A level-5 soldier came out of the North County Monastery and said to his companion, "You can get a lot of advanced plate armor equipment in the north of Doomsday Hammer in the future." There is nothing wrong with this sentence, but as a level 5 recruit, where do you know so much high-end content? Of course, you can forgive me with a universally applicable reason: "A high-level strong man once told me ...".
-Your characters shouldn't give too much accurate data. You shouldn't say, "Hey, there's a Yin Ying monster with a rating of 16 over there. I only have a level of 14, but my weapon DPS is 19.6, which should kill him! " This expression can exist in ordinary PvE/PvP servers, but it is very disappointing in RP servers. The correct statement should be to replace all the data with decorative words, such as "hey, there is a fierce-looking monster over there, which looks different from others." I just got this sharp weapon. Maybe I can try! "
-Your character should not know things that don't exist in this world. For example, if you want to talk to friends on the RP server about The Lord of the Rings, you'd better say to them, "I believe that somewhere in this world, in the corner of Mount Hyjal that can't be ignored, there was once a small race called the Hobbit"; Instead of saying, "Hey, let's go to Huan Yi Film City tomorrow to see the emperor return to the palace".
-Attachment: RP sentences of some commonly used sentences: For example, if you want to find an 8-person professional team to go to Stansom to ask DK for pants, then the common sentences on the RP server are-the natural disaster of Stansom and the recruitment of warriors by the 8-person crusader! Our suggestion here is to give full play to your role-playing wisdom, so that every adventure companion who communicates with you can feel completely different from other places and more wonderful and unforgettable.
In addition, you can use as many as 220 Chinese emoji commands in World of Warcraft, and use the body language of /em to express richer emotions. Click to view >> Chinese emoticon commands.
As you can see, RP needs careful maintenance from each of us. You may not be able to talk about the news of the school or the United Nations on the ordinary server, and you may not be able to stand in the ironforge and shout for a team to brush copies or sell equipment every day. It is an environment that every player needs to do his best to maintain. When such an environment is formed, you can realize the happiness brought by becoming a real Azeroth resident. That's the fantasy world you dream of, and it's a real adventure life you've never experienced before.
RP server management rules and regulations
"The behavior of the role itself must conform to the internal logic of the role."

The motivation of opening the role-playing server is to create a virtual world suitable for the "basic storyline" of World of Warcraft. Other types of servers can let you play games, but role-playing servers are designed to let you live in World of Warcraft. Here you will take a long-term adventure, cultivate lasting friendship and launch a grand war. Every player has a certain responsibility to cultivate this environment that allows you to blend in.
In order to help players do this, we have formulated stricter management rules than other types of servers. Please note that the terms of this rule are complementary to all the rules currently implemented on other types of servers.
If you find that a player's behavior conflicts with the spirit of the following guidelines, you must first ask the player to stop his misconduct. If the player continues his misconduct after receiving the request, you should contact the game administrator [GM] at this time. Remember, you should respect other people's stories. All of us must work together to keep the continuity of the basic story. Have a nice trip, have a nice trip!
Verbal or behavioral harassment of role-playing players:
This category includes:
Verbal or behavioral insults (not limited to offensive language) directed at role-playing players.
If a player is found trying to harass a role-playing player, he/she will:
Receive a warning
If the circumstances are serious, the rights will be temporarily suspended.
Super game discussion and the use of integrated channels
On the PvP server, because role contact is considered to be an essential factor in the PvP battle, and there is no language communication between players in opposing camps, if there are PvP management rules, the management rules of persistent sexual harassment will be invalid. Players will fight to solve disputes, and GM will only intervene in some extreme or extreme situations.
The following are the language control rules that will be implemented on the role-playing server. If the rule is violated, it is recommended to use the mask [/Ignore] command.
The comprehensive channel is only used to find storylines, find teams, discuss basic storylines, game-related topics and story continuity.
The integrated channel cannot be used for any off-topic, non-storyline or game-related discussion.
Super-game behavior is absolutely forbidden, and topics that do not conform to fantasy are not allowed to pass/say,/yell or tell the team.
Any non-fantasy topic in the guild channel is out of the management scope.
All general anti-harassment clauses (see general clause link) are still valid.
Examples of correct dialogue:
"Are there any skilled thieves willing to join our investigation team in Blackstone Abyss?"
"What happened in well of eternity?"
Examples of inappropriate conversations:
"Have you seen that new movie?"
"My sister just bought a new car."
If a player is found to have violated any of the above provisions, he/she will be:
Give a warning.
Non-medieval or non-fantasy names
This category includes:
The name of any non-medieval or non-fantasy character (such as the website name of Slipnslide, the name of Robotman robot, the name of Technotron software company).
All ordinary people's naming rules are still valid (see links to common naming rules).
If a player is found to have a similar name, he/she will be:
You will be prompted to modify the role name when you log in to the game to select a role.
If the name violates the standard rules of naming people, additional punishment will be given accordingly.
Important note:
The terms of this rule are complementary to all the rules currently implemented on other types of servers.
Repeated violation of any role-playing server management rules and game specifications will usually lead to the temporary suspension of his/her rights.
In addition to naming rules, the game manager [GM] will only take action against players who violate these rules and continue to behave badly after receiving the request.
In the process of experiencing this game, you will meet thousands of players with different backgrounds and share their different experiences. Please respect the players around you and help us build the most vivid role-playing environment in the history of massively multiplayer online role-playing games.
