Insurance Claim refers to an act in which the insured claims compensation from the insurance company in accordance with the relevant provisions of the insurance policy when the import and export goods suffer losses within the validity period of the insurance liability.

Once the insured learns that the insured goods are damaged, he shall immediately send a notice of loss to the insured or his agent.

An inspection insurance policy or a claim agent shall be appointed to apply for inspection, and an inspection report shall be required, or a certificate of damage or cargo difference shall be obtained from the carrier or the relevant authorities, so as to determine the degree of damage and the cause of loss.
If the liability of a third party is involved, although the general compensation is paid by the insurance company, the insurance company should first raise an objection to the responsible party and reserve the right of recourse. In particular, the damage to the goods involves the responsibilities of the carrier, the wharf, the loading and unloading area, etc., and the company immediately claims compensation from them in writing, and if necessary, applies for extending the limitation of claims.
4. Claims submission documents
After receiving the above inspection report, the insured shall file a claim with the insurance company together with relevant documents.
According to the provisions of China's cargo insurance, the insured should provide the original insurance policy, bill of lading, invoice, packing list, size list, cargo damage certificate, inspection report and claim list when claiming.
