College students and law

The course "Legal Basis" is a public compulsory course set by the CPC Central Committee in colleges and universities. Popularizing legal knowledge among college students is of great significance for improving national quality, strengthening quality education of college students, and requiring college students to know, understand and abide by the law. Some illegal and criminal acts often occur among college students. One of the important reasons is that these students don't understand the law, and the more important reason is that the legal concept is weak.

Traditionally, it is believed that the higher the educational background, the lower the possibility of committing crimes. Even college students or people with higher educational background commit crimes, which are linked to computer intelligence. However, a person concerned pointed out that this view is far from the truth-"education is out of proportion to quality." In recent years, the number of crimes committed by college students has increased year by year, and theft and intentional injury are the main crimes.

Jin Zhihai, deputy director of Haidian Branch of Beijing Public Security Bureau, said: "Campus impetuousness makes some college students eager for quick success and instant benefit, which deviates from the correct value orientation and is easy to get lost in the face of material temptation. Among them, they meet their material needs through improper or even illegal means. " It is not uncommon for college students to lose their correct value orientation in order to meet material needs. As far as our campus is concerned, shortly after the beginning of school, several students' mobile phones were stolen, and their passbooks and cash were also stolen. Some people even "pick up" new clothes that others just bought. It can be seen that these behaviors are difficult to connect with college students in the eyes of ordinary people. Under normal circumstances, people will think that only those who have low academic qualifications and have been out of society for a long time or those migrant workers will do these shameful things. But this kind of thing happens among college students, and school leaders have repeatedly stressed that it is illegal and should not happen to college students. However, the school leaders attach importance to it, and the students are dismissive and still go their own way.

The thoughts of ordinary citizens grow among college students, not because college students don't understand the law, but because the course "Legal Basis" offered by the school also talks about details, but such things happen repeatedly. It can be seen that an important reason is not that these students don't understand the law, but that their legal concept is weak. There is such a report: Xiaowen got excellent grades and was successfully admitted to the law department of a well-known university. She was once the pride of her parents. In 2005, she was criminally detained for stealing a classmate's laptop. Xiaowen's family conditions are very good, but his parents have strict family education. They think that laptops and MP3 players are luxury goods, so Xiaowen is not allowed to buy them. However, the students around him are more "modern", with mobile phones, laptops, MP4s and MP3 players. In the end, Xiaowen couldn't resist the temptation and took his classmate's laptop home. A law student can't say that he doesn't know the law, but when faced with attractive material, he gets lost in it, eager for quick success and instant benefit, and deviates from the correct value orientation of life. Xiaowen knows the law and what she is doing, but the temptation of material makes her lose control, thus becoming a college student with a weak legal concept.

The relationship between college students and the law is not that they don't know the law, but that they have a weak legal concept. Faced with the phenomenon of frequent crimes committed by college students, on the one hand, it is a long-term and systematic work to ask college students to improve their legal concept, gradually get in touch with society after being admitted to colleges and universities, improve and strengthen their social experience and judgment ability, be calm when things go wrong, and improve their self-control ability to prevent college students from committing crimes. At the same time, it also needs the cooperation of all walks of life, and colleges and universities are duty-bound.

Law, also known as law, is a social science discipline with a long history, taking legal phenomena as the research object. "Legal Basis" is an "introduction to law" in law, which makes us fully understand the necessity of governing the country according to law and teaches us how to establish a correct legal consciousness.

I used to think that as long as I kept my duty, followed the rules and didn't do those illegal and criminal things, I would understand the law. Actually, it's not like this. China is a socialist country, and the people are masters of their own affairs. Within the scope prescribed by law, people enjoy great freedom, but they are not allowed to go beyond laws and regulations. As the saying goes, there is no Fiona Fang without rules. Without legal supervision, how can such a great country as ours continue to prosper? Everyone is equal before the law, even if the emperor breaks the law, he should be guilty with the common people.

Learning "Fundamentals of Law" has benefited a lot. As college students in the 2 1 century, they should also fulfill their corresponding obligations while enjoying their rights. These laws and regulations have taught me how to know, obey and protect the law.

The Basic Law outlines the relevant principles and provisions of the law. Many of these things need memory, and rote memorization is a headache. Here I introduce a simple and easy way to read daily news and newspapers. The news spread by these media is really in real life. If we can use our legal knowledge to analyze and study some legal cases, we will certainly deepen our understanding of legal knowledge. There is no need to find an excuse to say that you are busy and have no time. Mr. Lu Xun once said: "Time is like water in a sponge. As long as you are willing to squeeze, there is always something. " It is more meaningful to spend half an hour reading a valuable newspaper every day than to spend time watching TV dramas.

We should understand the importance of studying the course "Legal Basis" from the perspective of maintaining social stability, promoting the rule of law and building a socialist country ruled by law, and strive to be a new social "four haves" with ideals, morality, culture and discipline.

As a college student, one should have "great ambition, great discipline and great cultivation", and learning legal knowledge is a step towards the "great discipline" in the "Big Four". To this end, we must first make it clear that law is a social discipline with a long history, and it takes legal phenomena as the research object. Among them, "legal basis" is an overview of the relevant principles and provisions of the law. The main purpose of learning it is to make us better and correctly establish legal awareness and civic awareness, enhance legal awareness, improve legal quality, correctly exercise civil rights, strictly fulfill civic obligations, study and abide by the law, act according to law, adapt to the needs of socialist modernization, and become ideal, moral, educated and disciplined professionals. Among them, understanding the essence of law is a normative system formulated or recognized by the state, guaranteed by the state and reflecting the will of the ruling class. Therefore, the law has normative and social functions. It can evaluate and predict people's behavior, and it can also play a role in economy, politics, ideology and culture, education, science and technology, diplomacy and so on. It has become an inseparable and important part of the daily life of the country, the collective and the individual.
