Bai Zixi: At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, it flowed from southern Fujian to eastern Guangdong to Hailufeng, where it was combined with local dialects and folk arts, and gradually formed the Hailufeng Bai Zixi with strong local characteristics. Music singing is basically a combination of qupai, supplemented by folk songs. Because singing often uses "e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e" as a lining word, it is also called "e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e". Later, it absorbed folk arts such as bamboo horses, money drums, fishing songs and Chaozhou opera music, and gradually formed its own style and characteristics. In order to distinguish it from Chaozhou white character (that is, modern Chaozhou opera), Chaozhou people call it "Nanbai character". Hailufeng dialect is used in the white-character opera, which is especially popular with local farmers. The repertoire is good at interpreting children's feelings, and the performances are full of life.
Xiqin Opera: Also known as Luantan Opera, it is popular in Haifeng, Lufeng, Chaoshan, Minnan and Taiwan Province provinces. Xiqin Opera originated in the northwest of Ming Dynasty, and was combined with local folk art and formed in the early Qing Dynasty. The lead singers are Zheng Xin, Xipi and Huang Er. Western Shaanxi opera is rough and bold, vigorous and passionate, which is better than martial arts. There are more than 1000 kinds of traditional operas, among which the most influential ones are Gongke Ji, Sanguantang, Zhu Bao Chuan and Selling Horses. Thirty-six plays such as Beating Li Feng, Chessboard Meeting, and seventy-two key plays such as Chopping Zheng En. Xiqin Opera retains the ancient Xiqin Opera, which is living evidence of the spread and evolution of local operas in Qing Dynasty.
