The wind is everywhere around us, and it often gives people a cool feeling. Most of the transportation of pollen, oxygen and carbon dioxide spread by plants is done by wind.

So, how did the wind come from? It turns out that wind is the result of air movement. Our side is full of air, and the air keeps moving, so the wind is formed. In other words, when the air on the land is heated and moves upward rapidly, the air in the high air increases, forming a high pressure; At low altitude, due to the reduction of air, a low pressure is formed. Just as water flows downward, air also flows from high pressure area to low pressure area, forming wind, also called atmospheric circulation. The greater the pressure difference between high pressure area and low pressure area, the greater the wind force; The smaller the pressure difference, the smaller the wind force. In order to distinguish the wind power, beaufort, a British naval officer, compiled a wind power scale, which divided the wind power into twelve grades. The higher the level, the greater the destructive power. Twelve winds are very rare, which can destroy a large number of buildings, uproot trees and trigger a tsunami as high as ten meters, affecting hundreds to thousands of kilometers of sea areas.

To this end, I did a small experiment: first, I found a balloon and pumped it up with a pump. When I let go of the balloon, the air soon blew out, bringing out waves of wind. In life, I find that when the window of the room is closed, I quickly close the door. When the door was about to touch the doorframe, it seemed that it suddenly encountered a layer of air, slowed down and blew out at the same time. After the door closed, the window shook. I guess it may be because the door suddenly closes, the indoor air pressure rises, and the air has to be released. So when the door touches the door frame, the air near the door passes through the gap between the door and the door frame, and after the reverse thrust is generated, the air pressure drops again and the air comes in again. The window jitter may be caused by a sudden increase in air pressure and air hitting the window. These two experiments prove that the air in the high pressure area will flow to the low pressure area, and the air pressure difference is closely related to the wind force.

The wind is endless, which is simply one of the cheapest and richest resources in the world.

Wind has many advantages, among which the greatest potential is that it can be used for wind power generation. It is estimated that the global wind energy available for power generation is about 1000 billion kilowatts, which is not only 10 times of the global hydropower generation, but also three times of the global total annual power generation from coal-fired resources. A big typhoon that once swept Britain and France destroyed many buildings and trees, and it could generate10 million horsepower in a few seconds! At present, the world's largest windmill has a power generation capacity of two kilowatts, which can meet the electricity demand of one county or four schools 15% at most.

The wind not only makes people feel refreshed, but also provides almost endless energy for human beings. I hope there are more wind turbines and fewer coal-fired power plants in the world, so that the world will be less carbon dioxide and greener.
