The employment prospects of marine fishery science and technology majors are not as good as those of Shanghai in terms of treatment and working conditions, but the thresholds of government institutions such as Fisheries Bureau, Fishery Bureau and Aquatic Station are higher.
In the past ten years, except for a few graduates engaged in fishery administration and offshore fishing, some of them went to graduate school or studied across disciplines, and most of them were engaged in other industries. As the second largest source of human food, the ocean will show its precious value with the increase of population and the deterioration of land environment. Senior scientific and technological talents who have been systematically trained in aquatic economy, animal and plant breeding technology, nutrition and feed, disease prevention and control will quickly become popular. With the deepening of economic globalization and the rapid development of science and technology, the position of marine economy has become increasingly prominent, and the key to managing and utilizing the ocean well lies in talents.
The training of marine fishery science and technology professionals needs to be reformed urgently, and the training goal should shift from resource protection and management to resource development.
