The internal reference of ethnic studies is the core level. Ethnic Studies is a periodical sponsored by the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of China Academy of Social Sciences and headed by China Academy of Social Sciences. Founded in 1958, it belongs to the core periodical of Peking University. It mainly publishes academic achievements in national theories and policies, national economy, ethnology, national education, national population, national legal system, national religion, national language, national history and national groups in the world. It is a garden for comrades and scholars who are engaged in ethnic studies, ethnic teaching and ethnic work and are interested in ethnic issues to publish their research results and carry out academic discussions. It was included in the core journals of Peking University in 2008, 2004, 2000, 1996 and 1992.
