What is the main function of slag cooler?
The slag cooler is used to cool boiler slag; Thermal power plants should burn coal. There are generally two ways to burn coal, one is pulverized coal boiler, and the other is circulating fluidized bed boiler. Slag cooler is used for circulating fluidized bed boiler (burning coal gangue). The principle of slag cooler is to reduce the high-temperature slag with a temperature of about 1050 degrees to below 150 degrees through a device (usually a drum-type slag cooler (dry cooling)). After cooling, the dry slag is ground into powder and added to cement clinker at a ratio of 35-40%, which can improve the grade of cement. There are more than a dozen slag coolers in terms of internal structure. The most widely used are multi-tube, internal spiral, louver, warehouse separation and film separation. Slag cooler is not a necessary equipment for boiler. Although the slag cooler is not necessary, the boiler must have a slag discharge system. Since there is a slag discharge device, it is not bad to add a slag cooler. The investment will not increase much, the maintenance is not complicated, and the one-time investment will yield lifelong benefits, which can also improve the economy, effectively recover the waste heat and save resources. 1. Slag cooler, also known as slag cooler, is mainly composed of cylinder, slag inlet box, slag outlet box, power transmission device, underframe and electrical control system. Both the cylinder and the partition frame are water-cooled wall structures, and slag baffles are welded on the inner walls of the cylinder and the partition frame.

The heat exchange area is positively related to the heat exchange capacity. The larger the cross-sectional area of slag, the more slag can be discharged per hour. The cross-sectional area of slag passing is positively related to the slag passing ability. Under the condition of fixed cylinder diameter and length, expanding the cross-sectional area of slag as much as possible is beneficial to improve slag discharge capacity and heat exchange area. In the range of 100℃, there must be enough residence time from red slag to cold slag, and the residence time of slag should be long enough and the rotation speed should be low enough; At the same time, low speed is beneficial to control the heat exchange surface and mechanical wear. When the rotating speed is high, the slag residence time is short, which is not conducive to cooling.
