Abstract: The air start-up of explosion-proof diesel engine includes spring start-up, air compression start-up and hydraulic start-up, which is simple in structure and convenient to operate. It is the most commonly used start-up mode of explosion-proof diesel engine for trackless auxiliary transportation in coal mines at present. This paper introduces the working principle, system design, installation, operation precautions, analysis and solutions of main faults of air start.
