Master Xuanzang transliterated a part of Sanskrit directly without free translation, and later put forward the translation theory of "five kinds of non-translation". The translation of Buddhist scriptures after Xuanzang still follows this theory and transliterates some words. His theory still has an important reference for language translation outside the cultural circle of Chinese characters.
The five theories of non-steering specifically refer to:
Secrets, like Dalagni. Buddha's secret language is profound, subtle, incredible and untranslatable. For example, in the last section of Prajna Heart Sutra, the mantras of "abstinence, abstinence, Roger's abstinence, Buddhist monk's abstinence, Bodhisattva Mahasa", Dalagni and other parts of speech.
It contains multiple meanings. For example, Baguan has six meanings. Words with multiple meanings are not translated. For example, the words Baguan (sometimes translated as Buddha), which have six meanings of freedom, prosperity, strictness, fame, auspiciousness and dignity, will not be translated.
There is no reason for this, such as a net tree and there is no such tree in midsummer. What is not available locally (China) will not be translated (meaning). Such as Indian strict father Tree, Manna Pova, Geluda and other things, which are not found in China, but retain the original sound.
The principle of following the ancient times, such as Auntie Bodhi, cannot be reversed. Sanskrit has existed since Motten. Follow the existing translation methods. For example, "Duoluo Imam has three benefits and three bodhis", which means "supreme righteousness". Since the Eastern Han Dynasty, all translators of ancient books have adopted this transliteration, so they have retained the previous rules.
Good karma is like respecting prajnaparamita and shallow wisdom. In order to make people respect what they want to translate. Such as Prajna, Sakyamuni, Bodhisattva, etc. , are not translated into "wisdom", "benevolence" and "sentient beings", because the former can inspire people to respect, while the latter is easily despised.

Xuanzang's life story:
Originally surnamed Chen, Ming Yi, Luoyang Gou (now Gouzhen, Yanshi, Henan). /kloc-became a monk at the age of 0/3, and was ordained at the age of 2 1. I have traveled all over the world, visited famous teachers, and studied such classics as Nirvana Sutra, Mahayana Theory, Za Ya Da Mo Xin Theory, and All Abandonment Theory. Because I feel that different teachers say different things and all kinds of classics are different, I decided to go to the west to find a solution to my confusion. Zeng Chen asked the court to go to the Western Heaven to seek the Dharma, but it was not allowed.
