Investigation background

Sleep is something that must be done every day. Some people sleep for a long time, others sleep for a short time. The natural spirit is different. People must sleep 65,438+00 hours every day. But now many middle school students are still far from this standard. If they don't get enough sleep, it will affect their study the next day and the efficiency of class will be reduced. If this vicious circle continues, an excellent student will gradually become a poor student, which will also.

Second, the purpose of the investigation

How do middle school students sleep during their busy study? What do they think of this problem? How is the school family doing in this regard? With these questions, we investigated the sleep situation of 50 senior one students in our school.

Third, the specific objectives of the study.

(1) Knowledge objective:

1, understand the general process of investigation activities, and initially understand the methods of exploring problems.

2. Let students know the influence of lack of sleep on the growth of teenagers.

(2) Ability objectives:

1. Cultivate students' ability to investigate, collect and sort out information, and cultivate students' ability to actively explore, dare to practice and cooperate and communicate.

2. Cultivate students to go deep into the society, care about the society, find problems from around them and think about them.

Four. The basic content of the research project

1 Understand the basic situation of students' sleep.

3 Investigate and find out the reasons for the lack of sleep in senior high school students

List the hazards of lack of sleep.

5. List suggestions for improving sleep quality.

The research process of five themes

Since choosing this topic, we have conducted an all-round investigation on the sleep problems of senior high school students from August to June 2007. The investigation procedure is as follows:

The first stage: collecting information online.

The second stage: carry out a survey among students to understand the sleep status of senior high school students.

The third stage: distribute questionnaires to learn more about the reasons of sleep deprivation and the attitude of high school students to sleep problems.

The fourth stage: interview, through the form of questions and answers from both sides to conduct a more in-depth investigation. At the same time, some suggestions were given to the respondents to provide relevant sleep knowledge.

The fifth stage: data collection, group discussion and paper formation.

6. Performance display

The cause of lack of sleep

First, the burden of schoolwork is too heavy, parents are eager for success, and there are too many homework in and out of class, which takes up sleep time. This is the fundamental reason that affects the lack of sleep of primary and secondary school students.

Second, the lack of good study habits has a great influence on sleep, and the study habits are not good. I have to be busy until late at night every day.

Third, the long journey to school and poor rest conditions caused by school choice also affect students' sleep, which is another major reason for the lack of sleep among primary and secondary school students.

The fourth is psychological problems, which are the interference of chores such as surfing the Internet. This is another important reason that affects children's sleep status.

(B) the harm of lack of sleep

1. Affect the creative thinking of the brain (If a person's brain wants to think clearly and respond sensitively, it must have enough sleep. If the brain does not get enough rest for a long time, it will affect its creative thinking and ability to deal with things, leading to a decline in academic performance. )

2. Affect the growth and development of teenagers (teenagers should develop well, grow tall and get enough sleep; It will also affect students' eyesight and lead to high myopia. )

3. Cause disease (lack of sleep will also increase the cholesterol content in the blood, thus increasing the chance of heart disease. An Australian research society suggested that cell division in the human body is mostly carried out during sleep, and lack of sleep or sleep disorder will affect the normal division of cells, which may lead to the variation of cancer cells and the occurrence of cancer. At present, the serious lack of sleep among middle school students has become a common social phenomenon.

(3) Statistics and analysis of relevant data

Table 1

Option A B C

Percentage 60% 34% 6%

According to the data in table 1, we find that most students sleep around 10, but 34% students sleep around 1 1, and the students sleep late.

Table 2

Option A B C

6% 88% 6%

According to the data in Table 2, most students sleep less than 8 hours. Although we have enough high school students, it can only last for a few days, which is harmful to our health in the long run. I hope students can grasp their sleep time.

Table 3

Option A B C

Percentage 48% 44% 8%

Judging from the data in Table 3, most students doze off in class, which is more serious. Especially in summer and autumn, the situation of taking a nap in autumn and winter is particularly serious. Look around, you are prone on the table, looking lifeless.

Table 4

Option A B C

72% 15% 13%

According to the data in Table 4, most students doze off because they don't get enough sleep at night. This has seriously caused students' lack of spirit and vitality, and also affected their study, resulting in a bad atmosphere in the school and affecting the school's style of study and vitality.

Table 5

Option A B C

Percentage 36% 58% 6%

According to the data in Table 5, we find that more than half of the students want to have a normal sleep time so that they can have a normal rest, but some students want to sleep as long as possible, and 6% of the students depend on their mood. Here, we want to tell you that normal sleep time is essential, sleep can not be decided according to your own mood, the longer the better. We must not forget that our purpose is to study, not to rest.

Table 6

Option A B C

Percentage 14%

According to the data in Table 6, we found that 73% students think that the school schedule is improper, and in our class, there is a phenomenon of falling in class. Students don't think all sleep hours are inappropriate, but they think some of them are inappropriate. For a while, they had to get up before dawn and concentrate. The students are not satisfied with the arrangement of rest time. Of course, there are 14% students who don't get enough sleep because of frequent insomnia, and 13% students burn the midnight oil at night. Here, our group hopes that students can master their sleep time and don't do things that are bad for their health and study.

(7) Suggestions:

We believe that the sleep status of senior high school students in our city should be paid more attention by families, schools and society. According to the problems found in this survey, the following suggestions are put forward:

1 the government clearly stipulates the school work and rest system to ensure that students sleep no less than 8 hours; (2) Strengthen media publicity to let parents and students know more about the importance of sleep to study and work.

2. The school should formulate a reasonable work and rest system to ensure the time for students to sleep and get up; ② Teachers should control the amount of homework, and students should finish the homework of the day before 10; ③ The dormitory environment should be comfortable and the management should be standardized to ensure that students can rest in a good environment; ④ Encourage students to take a lunch break.

3 Parents should provide students with a quiet rest environment after 10 in the afternoon; (2) Often urge students to go to bed early, stipulate students' online time, parents should be responsible for their own lives, and have regular schedules to set an example for students.

Students themselves, ① improve their self-management ability, develop a good life time, ensure sleep time, finish their homework on time without delay.

abstract

According to our investigation, at present, the serious lack of sleep among middle school students has become a common social phenomenon. Most students get up around 6 o'clock in the morning. Some students say that they would rather not eat breakfast in order to sleep for five more minutes in the morning. It can be seen that students still want to have enough sleep, after all, this is a physiological need. In addition, most students sleep at11:00 ~11:00. If they sleep after 10: 30 at night, most of them can't reach the standard sleep time (the Ministry of Education stipulates that junior high school students should sleep for 8 hours every day), and they are prone to fatigue. The survey found that most students don't have the habit of taking a nap, so they have less rest time, which affects their study. Statistics show that most book students stay up late every night because of too much homework, but only a few students have the habit of taking a nap, which shows that most students don't realize the importance of taking a nap. In addition, with the increase of grades (from grade one to grade three), the number of students who can guarantee 8 hours of sleep is gradually decreasing.

Lack of sleep among middle school students also has a bad influence on students themselves. It will not only reduce the body's resistance, make it prone to various diseases, but also lead to inattention and decreased attention during learning, thus affecting the learning effect. Long-term lack of sleep will cause psychological problems and pose a potential threat to the physical and mental health of teenagers. Because our middle school students' self-control ability is not yet adult, we hope that parents and schools will let their children go to bed early, and also ask them to go to bed early to urge and help them save time. At the same time, teachers should make students realize the importance of sleep and give them the greatest help.

The way to sleep:

1. Keep a regular schedule and don't stay up too late on weekends. If you go to bed late on Saturday, Zhou

If you get up late, you may lose sleep on Sunday night.

Don't eat or drink before going to bed. Eat a small amount of dinner about two hours before going to bed, and don't drink too much water, because going to the toilet at night will affect the quality of sleep; Don't eat spicy and greasy food at night, because these foods will also affect sleep.

3. Stay away from coffee and nicotine before going to bed. You are advised not to drink coffee eight hours before going to bed.

4. Choose exercise time. Afternoon exercise is the best time to help sleep, and regular exercise can improve the quality of sleep at night.

5. Sleep at night. Taking a nap during the day may lead to sleep deprivation at night. The sleep time during the day is strictly controlled within 1 hour, and I can't sleep after 3 pm.

6. Keep quiet. Turn off the TV and radio, because silence is very beneficial to improve the quality of sleep.

7. A comfortable bed. A comfortable bed provides you with a good sleeping space. Besides, you should make sure that the bed is spacious enough.

Tips:

Dear students, lack of sleep is harmful to our health, which may lead to the decline of our eyesight, and lack of sleep will make us grow taller. A large number of data show that middle school students should control their sleep time within 8 hours. If it is often less than 8 hours, it is not good for us. Therefore, students should burn the midnight oil less, and rest is also very important. Health is the capital of the revolution. Don't waste time on your mobile phone.
