Step 1: Use the Insert section break function.

Section break function: Divide the paper into several parts, and each part uses a different page number grid.

How to use it: If you want to divide the paper into three parts: no page number, Roman page number and Arabic page number, then the steps for you to insert section break are as follows: ① Place the cursor before the first character on the first page of Roman page number and insert section break; ② Place the cursor before the first character of Arabic page number 1 and insert section break.

☆ Note that it is inserted in the first line of the first page of Roman numerals, not in the last line of the cover without page number.

Check whether the segmentation is successful: check whether there is the word section break in the outline view.

Step 2: Insert the page number in the footer of the cover page.

After insertion, I found that the page numbers of your paper are Arabic numerals from the first A4 paper to the last A4 paper. It doesn't matter. Go on to the next step.

Step 3: Set the page number format of the first page of Roman numerals.

I: Find page I of Roman numerals in your mind and put the cursor at the editable footer.

Step 4: Set the page number format of Arabic numeral page number 1.

Step 5: Delete the cover page number:

Place the cursor in the footer of the first page of Roman numerals.
