First of all, I want to thank Zhang Xiaojing for giving me this opportunity to share this experience. I feel very honored (Zhang Xiaojing: Ha ha ha ha me too).

Actually, as for making posters, I was Xiao Bai before I was a doctor, and I didn't make any serious posters. The earliest poster was an undergraduate student. Zhang Xiaojing and I made a propaganda newspaper, which was full of petals and the names of all my classmates. At that time, I was really proud (Zhang Xiaojing: The past was hard to remember).

In my first semester as a doctor, I made my first poster. At first, I was really imaginative. I think how cool, how special and even how colorful are the most important things. When the first draft was handed over to the boss, the evaluation was: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, come on, make a good change".

Under the patient guidance of my boss, I tried my best to make it better. Figure 2 is my final version. My boss tried his best to guide me on this poster because I really don't know anything and have no experience. My boss was very satisfied with this poster and thought it should win the prize, but he didn't win it in the end. Anyway, the feedback I received was unreasonable (I always thought my stuff was the best).

The second poster was completed in August this year by participating in the AmericanChemistrySociety (the one on the right in the above picture) and won the first prize. When I finished the first draft of this poster for my boss, he felt very satisfied and hardly made any changes, so we decided on the final version and recorded it once (because it was a Virtualmeeting, we recorded the explanation of the poster and uploaded it). The feedback from the judges is also a good applause (and a proud face, I like others to praise me. Zhang Xiaojing: I know that.

So based on the experience of making posters twice, I think the following points are quite important.

1._ ㄒㄒㄒ/kloc-0 /ㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒㄒ When the first poster was changed, the boss suggested that I print all the poster requirements on official website, so that I could change it for myself first.

Don't try to put all your experimental results and the whole research in one poster, just tell a simple and beautiful story. If others are interested in your research, they will naturally ask you other questions. Actually, this part is the hardest. I suggest that we spend more time thinking about it. I think this is part of my second poster, so the explanation and revision are very smooth, because the theme of the story is fixed, and it is not blind and efficient to make some revisions around the theme. On the first poster, I felt that my story was scattered and not well formed (although I don't want to admit it).

5._ Park _ullets instead of the whole sentence. Use the key information in the sentence to form phrases, which are concise and highlight the key points, and are not cumbersome. I don't recommend copying papers or articles because there are too many traces and words.

7.___ About 2 minutes of poster introduction. Practice is very important. Some readers may not want to see the whole poster, so your explanation is very important.

The above six points are more important that I can think of now. I think the second point is really the most important. It's really important to tell a complete story. To tell the truth, the overall framework of the poster is mostly the same, and all parts (from introduction to thanks) are almost fixed. The key to success is how to convey information effectively and completely, so as not to let readers give up halfway. So the poster is concise and focused!
