Where is the disconnect between university and workplace?
1. When entering school, many people's wishes are out of touch with the future employment direction. When they are completely unclear about the employment prospects and specific job responsibilities of their major, they choose this major.

2. After entering the school, the school itself does not provide practical employment guidance. Except for a few majors, most majors are very relaxed. Most people are in three states:

The major of literature and business is too broad, the choice is too wide, I don't know what to do, and I feel guilty and confused that I don't have a skill.

Science and engineering major, too sophisticated, hate technology, but I don't know what else to do. I feel that I have neither skill nor love, and I don't know what I am good at. I feel guilty and confused;

Regardless of arts and sciences, I hate my major, but I don't know how to find a career direction.

Students may not consider employment until their senior year.

4. Some people want to seek answers at school, ask professional teachers, who know nothing about the workplace and employment (although they should know according to teachers' obligations), and go to the employment guidance center for help. The quality of teachers there is lower, perhaps only a little better than that of teachers in the administrative building.

5. The school does not provide any training and guidance on basic workplace skills, such as resume writing, PPT, EXCEL, interpersonal communication, public speaking and basic writing skills. Not to mention providing it. Most teachers don't even know the necessity and existence of these skills.

6. Joining various student organizations is closer to the system and efficiency of the party and state bureaucrats, which is completely different from the business operation procedures in modern society. The training obtained by joining these organizations is actually limited.

7. The four-year college basic education model is still exam-oriented, and everything will be fine if you pass the exam. The quality and ability cultivated in the education process, even the basic thinking habits and thinking tools, are different from the needs of the workplace, mainly because most teachers and exam content system makers have no concept of what the workplace is like.

8. In the next semester of junior year, most students still don't know their employment direction, their abilities and specialties, their employment situation and workplace needs, so they start to take the postgraduate entrance examination and study abroad.

These serious problems are not only educational problems, but also related to the domestic business environment and national conditions.

It's not just that academic qualifications are out of touch with the workplace, but most people's families and lives are out of touch with the workplace, so there is no professionalism and workplace reality in the public's cognition.
