How to improve children's reading ability
1, do a good job of example reading and arouse their desire and interest in reading with their wonderful reading.

When I first took over the new class, I almost always read in the morning reading time, and vividly interpreted the text with my expressive language, creating a strong emotional atmosphere for students, so that students could not help but devote themselves to the situation created by the article. For example, when studying Miscellaneous Notes in the Mountains, most students could not understand Bing Xin's love for nature because of their limited life experience and language accumulation. I read with a slightly exaggerated tone and expression that "pulling weeds to feed horses is the first pleasure". Looking at this behemoth, gently grinding its soft big mouth, drinking neat big teeth, eating and chewing the grass in your hand, you think it has infinite charm. "The students seem to be inside, and some students can't help reading aloud with me. Over time, without inspiration and guidance, students' reading interest and desire are getting stronger and stronger.

2. Guide students to realize the importance of emotional reading.

Emotional reading is the most important way to understand the text and the basis of reciting the text. To achieve reciting, you must read it repeatedly. All underlined texts in the textbook of Beijing Normal University are required to be recited. These texts, either ancient poems or modern classic poems, are of beautiful quality and are especially suitable for reciting. Students will recite an article carefully after learning it. When they finish reciting it, they will take the initiative to recite it for me. Children soon found that students who recite quickly are students who usually like to read aloud with positive emotions. I will take this opportunity to tell them the importance and necessity of emotional reading. Everyone has a desire to make progress, and they are eager to be respected and appreciated by teachers and classmates. After setting an example around them, they will take the initiative to approach these students and learn from them. Gradually, in the morning reading and Chinese class, the voice of reading is always heard.

3. In the process of reading aloud, adopt the educational principle of encouraging more and criticizing less, and encourage every little progress of students in time, thus establishing students' self-confidence.

The polarization between the two classes in our class is serious. Students with high reading level and strong sense of language have reached the level of "shine on you is better than blue", while a few students with weak foundation can't read most articles correctly and fluently, so I often give them a "partial eclipse": stand by them when reading in the morning, listen to them read aloud, and teach them to solve unfamiliar words; In class, they will be asked to read relatively simple articles. If they make a little progress in reading, they will be praised and encouraged in time, thus gaining the joy of success and the desire to continue to study hard.

4. Conduct a reading contest in due course.

The implementation of the efficient classroom model of "five steps and three inquiries" has opened up more opportunities for students to read aloud and show. Based on the nature of Chinese courses and the strong competitive spirit of children, I want to design "beautiful reading paragraphs" in the display unit of each class. Students also live up to expectations. Not only did my classmates forget to read aloud, but also PK with PK group. There are several groups competing with me this year.

Besides, I often watch class reading competitions combined with Chinese comprehensive practice activities. For example, in the study unit "Mother River", I asked the children to collect poems describing and praising the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, and launched a recitation contest of "Singing Mother River" in the class; In the study unit "Three Friends at the Age of Cold", let the children collect and sort out related poems and songs, and then have a reading contest. Children are full of interest. They devote themselves to reading aloud and bring everyone into the atmosphere they create.

5. Let the students read their works aloud.

I found that children can basically recite the writer's works with emotion and cadence, but when they can read their own works, they are weak. The reason is related to their poor writing, but more is their lack of self-confidence. In view of this situation, I set aside time for children to read their own works first, then read each other in pairs to select winners, and then read in groups to select winners; After that, the winner will be selected in the big group. Finally, these winners will read their works in the class and then evaluate them. In this way, the compositions selected at different levels are naturally excellent, which not only exercises students' reading ability, but also enables them to learn from other students' compositions, find out their own shortcomings in practice, and stimulate children's interest in writing good compositions.
