First of all, from the perspective of discipline construction, the discipline layout of Hainan University is relatively extensive and comprehensive, mainly including eight disciplines, namely, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, management and law, covering undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees and other levels and fields. Among them, tourism management, tropical agriculture and forestry, tropical biotechnology and other disciplines have obvious advantages, and some disciplines have entered the ranks of domestic high-level universities. However, discipline construction in other fields needs to be further strengthened.
Secondly, from the perspective of teaching quality, Hainan University has made good achievements in undergraduate education evaluation in recent years, and has been rated as "excellent" continuously, which shows that the teaching quality and teaching effect of the school have been recognized. At the same time, the school has also invested a lot of energy and resources in teaching reform, curriculum construction, education and teaching quality monitoring and so on, which has improved the teaching quality and students' comprehensive quality.
Third, from the perspective of scientific research strength, Hainan University has been committed to scientific research and innovation, and has made certain achievements and development. The school has established a number of research institutions and research institutes, such as the National Engineering Laboratory, the Nanhai Marine Ecosystem Scientific Observation Experimental Station of the State Oceanic Administration, the Museum Research Center of the Ministry of Education, and the Pharmaceutical Preparation Technology Research Center of Hainan University in Hubei Province. Finally, from its reputation and social recognition, Hainan University is one of the most famous and influential universities in Hainan Province. It has been recognized and cooperated by universities and enterprises at home and abroad, and has carried out academic exchanges and cooperation with more than 30 universities in the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia and other countries, and established stable cooperative relations with enterprises and institutions with large state-owned enterprises and private enterprises as the main body.
