Master students should publish their papers in core journals or academic journals with high academic level and rigorous style of study recognized by the Academic Degrees Subcommittee. The basic requirements are decided by the sub-committees themselves and reported to the graduate school for the record.

In order to encourage doctoral students to explore important frontier issues of the discipline and engage in original research, it is not mandatory for doctoral students to publish papers in the journals with the most academic influence in the discipline (or major scientific awards won by the main finishers).

2. Postgraduates publish 1 papers in international conferences (included in the collection of essays), which is equivalent to publishing 1 papers in core journals, but only one of the general basic requirements for publishing articles in core journals can be treated equally.

3. Postgraduate dissertations won the national prize or the second prize at the provincial and ministerial level 1 (former 1/2, signed by Zhengzhou University), or domestic and foreign invention patents 1 (former 3), which is equivalent to publishing papers 1 articles in journals included in SCI or EI.

4. Of the three papers published by doctoral students in core journals, at least two should be published in core journals outside the province.

Graduate students who do not meet the above basic requirements when applying for defense, but meet the graduation conditions, are allowed to organize dissertation defense.
