Study: Eating more than half an egg increases the risk of cardiovascular and cancer death? Can eggs still be eaten?
As the most common food, eggs are frequent visitors on the table. Eggs are not only rich in protein, but also contain many beneficial nutrients, such as lecithin, vitellogenin, amino acids, minerals and so on. Eating eggs regularly can enhance memory, protect liver health, improve human immune function and prolong life.

Two eggs a day can supplement the daily demand for protein, improve gastrointestinal peristalsis, promote fecal excretion, and enhance the functions of detoxification and metabolism. Although the nutritional value of eggs is comprehensive, for some patients, it is necessary to control the intake of eggs.

Because egg yolk contains more cholesterol, some people think that eggs are the "hair" of diseases, and long-term intake of eggs will increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer death. Is this correct? Is egg really a kind of food harmful to human body?

Study: Eating more than half an egg increases the risk of cardiovascular and cancer death? Can eggs still be eaten?

In February of 20021year, the research team of Zhejiang University published such a paper, which clearly revealed the investigation and research of 520,000 people. After the follow-up investigation of 16, the following conclusions were drawn: the cholesterol content in egg yolk is high, and long-term intake of large amounts will increase the probability of cardiovascular disease and indirectly induce the death of cancer patients.

In the experiment, according to the harm of eggs to human body, the following groups of experiments were done. The researchers found that the risk of death of subjects who ate three or fewer eggs per week did not change much, while the risk of death of subjects who ate more than six eggs per week increased by 25%~30%.

Li Liming, a professor at Peking University School of Public Health, believes that the above experiments are only aimed at Americans, but there are great differences between China and the United States in terms of eating habits, nutritional health status and physical fitness. This study alone cannot directly infer that eggs are carcinogens.

Although egg yolk does contain more cholesterol, cholesterol is also an essential nutrient for human body, which can form more cholic acid in human body and stimulate the synthesis of hormones on cell membrane. In the case of low cholesterol, the body can eat more foods with more cholesterol to avoid abnormal hormone secretion. After cholesterol rises, you can take lipid-lowering drugs under the guidance of a doctor to prevent atherosclerosis.

Professor Li Liming said: There are many factors that affect human health. In addition to the intake of eggs, it is also closely related to diseases, psychological factors, living environment, obesity, personal emotions, exercise, dosage and other reasons. We can't directly draw the conclusion that eating eggs will increase the incidence of cardiovascular diseases and cancer mortality without excluding other factors.

Every100g of eggs contains about 200 ~ 250mg of cholesterol, which mainly exists in the yolk. The cholesterol content in egg white is relatively low. Normal adults eat at least two eggs a day. Patients with three high or severe cardiovascular diseases can eat an egg every day. If they want to eat more, they should give priority to protein and eat less egg yolk.

Eating eggs properly will not affect the body, but can enhance human immunity, supplement protein and calcium ions needed by the human body, reduce the toughness of bones and joints, improve the metabolic function of the human body, resist the invasion of bacteria and viruses, and maintain a healthy state.

Why do some people say that eating eggs can cause cancer?

The wrong intake method does increase the risk of cancer in the body. The specific situation can be considered from the following three points:

1, eat eggs raw

Many old people like to eat boiled eggs. No matter which way they cook eggs, as long as they are fully cooked, they will not affect their health.

Once the food is cooked, although the internal nutritional value will be lost, there will be more parasites and harmful substances in the cooked eggs. Eating eggs raw can induce gastrointestinal discomfort. After harmful poisons such as parasites in eggs enter the body, the body will have symptoms such as loss of appetite, muscle pain, skin inflammation, general weakness, hair loss and eyebrow removal.

If you want to cook eggs healthily, you should at least keep the cooking temperature at 70~80 degrees, kill salmonella in eggs in time, keep healthy and reduce the risk of cancer.

Step 2 eat eggs on an empty stomach

Many office workers and students regard eggs as the best choice for breakfast. Medical experts say that eating eggs on an empty stomach is harmful to the stomach. Because eggs contain a lot of protein, the transformation process of heat energy on an empty stomach after entering the body is not obvious.

Eating eggs on an empty stomach not only has no nourishing effect, but will make a lot of protein accumulate in the stomach, producing a lot of urea and amines, which is harmful to health.

Step 3 eat too many eggs

It is advisable for the elderly to eat 1~2 eggs a day. Young and middle-aged people or people engaged in mental and light manual labor had better eat two eggs every day. Those who are engaged in heavy physical labor or take more nutrients can eat 2~3 eggs a day.

Although eggs have high nutritional value, excessive intake of eggs will also lead to the increase of metabolites in the body, increase the burden on the kidneys, lead to impaired renal function and induce cancer in the body.

After reading this article, I believe everyone has a deeper understanding of whether eggs will increase cancer mortality and cardiovascular disease incidence. what do you think? Do you think eggs are "nutritious" or "carcinogenic"?
