Xiamen University, or XMU for short, is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a world-class university construction university (Class A), a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project", and the first batch of independent examination units with degree authorization.

Construction achievements:

During the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, the school published more than 50 papers in international high-level academic journals such as Science, Nature, Cell and its sub-journals. Won 4 second prizes of national natural science and international scientific and technological cooperation 1 item; 1 achievements were selected as "Top Ten Scientific and Technological Progress in China", 2 achievements were selected as "Top Ten Scientific and Technological Progress in National Universities", and 1 achievements won the China Patent Gold Award.
