Nanomaterials and nanotechnology are hot topics in recent ten years. This paper deals with the preparation, engineering and functional enhancement of new nano-materials, especially nano-surfaces and nanostructures. This study includes two parts; In the first part, we studied a new inorganic nano-synthesis method to prepare bulk transparent polymers and their ultraviolet absorption. In the second part, the preparation of nano-porous surface layer, copper plating and electroplating processes and the investigation and evaluation of material properties are expounded. In the first part, the transition zinc-based composite plexiglass composed of inorganic nano-polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and zinc compound composed of bulk polymer was prepared by in-situ sol-gel polymerization.
